The luxury tent was a complete disaster. We were moved from one tent to the other because there was air coming in through the slits in the door at 40 F. This was at 11pm. The second tent that we were moved to smelled of sewage. This is their most expensive room and it is just plain terrible. Absolutely horrible experience.

I travelled with my parents. Visiting Ganga with your parents has a special spiritual significance and I highly encourage staying at this resort. Eat: We ate all our meals in the resort itself, the food was excellent. We recommend trying Swala (an Uttarakhandi delicacy) at breakfast with Garhwal ki chai. We also recommend paneer makhanwala and yellow dal lahsuni made by Chef Ashwin - it was so scrumptious! Pray: We recommend attending the resort aarti that is organized at the beach, ***** the banks of river Ganga. It was very peaceful! We also had the opportunity to do the aarti ourselves, which may not have been possible elsewhere. We also attended the shivling abhishek in the morning. Fun: We love that the property overlooks the Ganga river, we spent so many hours simply sitting by the river, talking about life. We did river rafting with Ramayan Singh (a swimmer in the Asian games) and his brother Sunil Singh - both were quite knowledgeable and professional. I also booked a session at the spa for myself, my masseuse was Manisha who was excellent. I bought myself some products from the Forest Essentials store that are specially made for Anand Kashi resort, not sold online or elsewhere. All this to say, this was a perfect spot to eat, pray and do fun things!

We visited this beautiful property in june ....we had an excellent stay wt really a spiritual feel ...our special thanks to Durgesh Patil who made our stay so relaxed ...so again we are planning to visit in November.....Also Reema ji n bhagat ji at sundeck were very helpful. Looking forward to visit again .

A small 24 rooms heritage property of Maharaja right on the banks of pristine Ganga is a great place to stay in Rishikesh. One restaurant serves great food of all variety though we found local cuisines not up to the mark of Taj, which I am sure they will improve after this feedback.
