Neemrana's - Bungalow on the Beach

Nice Property. Great View. Sunrise is not to be missed over the Bay of Bengal. All historic sites are within walking distance. South Indian food options are great. Only Cons are the room lighting levels are low and the Toilet a bit too narrow.

The location is good.it is a wonderful property. Staff are very courteous.the food is yummy .we had only veg food..the swimming pool and the surrounding area is well landscaped.the only draw back is it is next to a public beach and resort doesn't have a private beach of it's own.to play in beach early morning is the only time otherwise it will be crowded.

This hotel is just amazing, from when we entered you can see how well they restored the building. The room was really good, the bathroom a tad small but all very good. The beds were just amazing, I honestly slept like a rock, and if you are there for dinner, I highly recommend the fish curry, perfect to have by the beach. The staff were generally very nice and friendly, and happy to help. It was amazing to learn they are trainees, I really hope they make it far in their careers. For the price tag, it was fully worth it, especially with the amazing views from the balcony. We will definitely try to come back again.

Stayed in this property for a night and great experience. Room cleanliness is good and food was really tasty. Very close to all important attractions. Hotel staffs are very friendly and flexible on request. Great ocean view from balcony. Would like to come back for another rainy session.

Nice little cosy bungalow by the beach. Spacious sea view rooms, courteous staff and delicious food make up for a memorable experience all together. The location is unique in the way that it combines a beach front ambience with a heritage touch.Definitely recommended!

The Bungalow on the Beach is an excellent resort with a lot of history behind it. The Danish connect to India is evident at every turn here and in the environs - the property is a beautiful old mansion which is excellently located on the beach. There is a 17th Century fort (Fort Dansborg) and a 14th century Pandya temple right next to the property. Rooms are very comfortable and the service excellent. Thoroughly enjoyed the stay

We booked 3 rooms for a night stay in this property- our first vacation with our baby girl. I had sent an email to the staff a few days back & Ranjith Kumar promptly responded to my queries. Kabilan handled our check-in formalities & took lunch orders before kitchens were closed. All staff members are extremely cordial & happy to help!! Property is right on the beach & has fabulous views from the balcony upstairs, well maintained garden & clean pool. We took our little one for a short swim in the clean pool- would not have ventured otherwise. They have 7-8 rooms only- so make reservations well in advance. Access to running balcony space upstairs is for everyone & you can enjoy views all throughout the day. Make reservations directly if possible- staff will be able to help you with room status. Food is the best part! Breakfast was a fantastic buffet spread- good mix of South Indian dishes & breads/ toast/ omlette, etc. We reached right at 2Pm, but they were kind enough to dish out fabulous pasta & kothu parotta in good quantities. Place meal orders beforehand- because they prepare it specifically & do a good job at it! Overall great vacation & look forward to returning soon!

I was at Tharagambadi / Tranquebar for a couple of days and revelled in the Neemrana hospitality. From the moment I got there, I have had great support, food was meticulously planned for and arrived on time. There was a decadent balcony where food was laid out and an equally decadent breakfast. What lent the breakfast an air of joy was the earthenware that food was heated and served in, that takes one back to an older time and memories of grandmothers. The location is gorgeous. Lunches and dinners to the sound of lapping waves, exceptional and kind service, and a gorgeous location. There were great options to explore the town. The museums and other literature in the region allows one to take in the Danish colonisers perspectives of the natives and how in more recent times, the locals have taken a kinder view of these folks who came to these shores and took over their land. All in all, a very mellow and understated experience in the best possible of ways.

Beautiful place, food was excellent Good continental , fish was excellent Avoid Chinese. Breakfast spread was awesome. Played a traditional game, very relaxing. Ambience was good , room clean and very neat Swimming pool was nice but too many flies due to open pool
