Le Ski d'Or

Myself & a friend arrived at Geneva Airport on the 16th of July 22 and got the Alpine Elements transfer to Hotel Ski D'or in Tignes. It had been a long trip due to flight delays etc so we were really pleased when we arrived at the hotel. The staff were all very welcoming and we were told our evening meal would be ready once we'd dropped our gear off in our room. Food was 5 stars in my opinion, presentation was excellent and service was great. Big thumbs up to the shef! Our room was cleaned and tidied every day so that was a bonus. We skipped the group meeting Sunday morning as we'd pre- hired down hill bikes from Jubike shop just around the corner, again great service from those guys. So all in all we had a fab stay at Ski d'or Hotel and would highly recommend. Lee from Derbyshire

We have just left Ski D’Or in Tignes after a fabulous week of family & friends skiing/snowboarding. Perfect ski in/ski out location and a great, modern Chatel/hotel with everything you need, including heated boot room, sauna, cosy bar & amazing mountain views from the restaurant. The Alpine Elements team can’t do enough to help - Beca & all her team give a really warm welcome! The food is great & service is always with smiles (special thanks to girl Charlie, boy Charlie, Liv & Anna)… there’s a relaxed, friendly bar (& Tyler’s fab cocktails) and the Val Claret area is perfect for slopes & apres ski. If you don’t fancy the ski down after Follie then head to Cocoricos, a short walk from Ski D’Or for live music (4-6) & a DJ (6-8). Granite Bar opposite Ski D’Or also friendly and a great spot for a nightcap! And for a great coffee / sandwich Les Poulettes is a must. We would highly recommend Alpine Elements - the resort transfer from Geneva included is a huge bonus when prices have gone sky high by all operators & communication before & during holiday spot on! Alpine Elements also has the best staff helping to make your ski holiday truly memorable! We’ll definitely be back!

Rooms were well appointed and very clean. Facilities were small but good. The food was excellent. All the staff we came into contact with were polite, friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and would recommend to others.

A great time at the hotel organised by Alpine Elements . The staff were very helpful and sorted out the issues that arouse, helped us to do a number of events in Tignes and a great holiday. Recommend this as a summer holiday when you get a great choice of activities, some you need to organise. AE use Evolution 2 but recommend the white water rafting

Had a great time with the family at Ski D'Or organised through Alpine Elements. The staff were great and the food was excellent. Really enjoyed our stay. Tignes offers so much to do in the summer and it was a real treat to know we were heading back after a day of biking/hiking/water fun for fresh cake and a tasty evening meal. Hope to be back soon.

Stayed here with Alpine Elements in March 2022. Overall, my ski buddy and I were both very impressed. In over 40 weeks' skiing over the years this was one of the best stays I've experienced, certainly when the price was factored in (though booking late we got a good discount). The bedroom was a very good size, with plenty (almost exceptionally so) of drying and hanging space, very much a hotel room not a chalet bedroom, and with a very good outlook to the western slopes. Bathroom and toilet were separate, useful, and unusual in my experience. On a couple of occasions the shower was only lukewarm not hot, but this was quickly fixed. The food was very good, choices for all three courses, and an hour-long window within which to sit down, an improvement on the normal fixed start in chalets. Definitely restaurant quality, and about the right portion sizes. My only quibble compared to a standard chalet holiday was no free wine with dinner. Breakfasts were very good; you could certainly load up more than enough to not need anything other than fluids at lunch, particularly as the afternoon teas were also very good. Clearly, chefs and seasons will vary, but the pastries when we were there were again, patisserie, more than normal chalet, standard. The sauna / steam room / hot tub was good, albeit the sauna wasn't working on one afternoon - again, soon fixed. The week were there the hotel was only about half full, and we wondered how the facility would have coped with more users. Even so, a nice touch after a tiring day skiing. The small bar was adequately, rather than extensively, stocked. The location is superb; there than when I've stayed in properties that literally opened onto the piste, this was as good as you can get. Ski in to the other side of the road, and ski out from 100 yds level walk. The boot room had lockable racks, and good boot driers. Again, in a busy week it would likely be cosy in the morning, but when we were there it was fine. There's also a lift serving all but the ground floor (it's an upside-down hotel as it's built on a steep slope). There's no parking on site, but that's not unusual for Tignes. I'd never been with Alpine Elements before, but we agreed we'd use them, and certainly this hotel, again. The staff weren't the most experienced, but in a season interrupted at the outset with CV challenges, which I'm sure compromised start-up and training, they were all trying very hard.

Delivered to the wrong resort, served chalet menu without options in a hotel sold as a la carte menu. Jacuzzi and steam room were broken. Totally underwhelming response from them to our email. Fire alarm triggered at 3am. The staff and assistant manager were trying their hardest but were let down by the upper management. we won't use them again!

We had a brilliant week at the Ski D'or. Great hotel. Super staff. Delicious food. Fab location. Lovely restaurants and shops within a few yards. Ski in/out. Clean, comfortable & well appointed. Many thanks to all the team.

Quelle arnaque ! Ce n’est pas du tout un 4* , au mieux, c’est une pension de famille anglaise. Pas de personnel français ´ seulement deux personnes charmantes , au demeurant, qui essayent de se faire comprendre, Reception fermée en journée, hall accueil minimaliste , pas un seul fauteuil Réservation faite pour 7 nuits , 6 jours en 1/2 pension mais sans information préalable le dîner n’est pas assuré le mercredi soir Dans la chambre , pas de téléphone pas de bouteille d’eau ´ verres en carton , ménage aléatoire…….. Pas de salle de vie , pas de TV et le bar n’est ouvert que de 17:00 à 21:00, Publicité annonce espace détente, faux , pas même un jacuzzi , obligés d’aller dans un hôtel voisin pour profiter de leurs installations à la hauteur d’un Vrai 4*…. Depuis des années nous fréquentons des hôtels 4 , voire 3 étoiles dans stations Alpes du Nord ou étranger ( Italie , Autriche ..) mais c’est la Première fois que nous rencontrons un tel décalage entre la fiche Produit et la triste réalité de l’établissement.!!( A Fuir
