Comfy beds and these cabins are situated so close to the beach - you can actually hear the waves! We found the ensuite very small (for a family of 4) and it would have been nice to have bedside tables next to the main bed. Also, it would be handy to have a BBQ area near the Sand Dune cabins. Attended a beautiful outdoor chapel and function centre onsite for a wedding.

We had 3 nights booked to camp at Tiona, when our van broke, in the middle of a massive storm. After not being able to fix our van, there was 1 room left for 1 night only, which I booked. Then, reception/management, went above and beyond, and moved our monies paid for our campsite over to cover the 1 night accommodation, and allowed us to keep our van in the campsite until we could get it out to get fixed. So whilst our time there ended up being short lived, the compassion showed in a difficult situation to us (and i was drenched, looked like I had jumped in the ocean!) was 10/10. Whilst we had to leave to get our van fixed, our friends stayed behind and said it was an amazing place to stay.

Big thank you to Vicki and the team who on a busy Easter weekend moved people around to get us a cabin for the three nights when our other accommodation fell through. Thought we were going to have to drive all the way back 4 hours as we had our two dogs either us. The communication was fantastic with texts from reception about what’s on etc. Spoilt for choice with lake and beach on your doorstep. So nice to have a park that welcomes pets and people without the big deal!! Love ❤️ the balcony on the unit!!! Great cabin, great customer service, top spot !!!

Good escape from city. Back to nature. . No phone reception at back of beachside units thou. Don't take front cabins beach side 2 noisy with cars. But lake side and back beach side good. Nice peaceful place to unwind , short trip into town for essential s

Tiona Holiday Park is a quiet and peaceful Park. Only around 14kms to Forster/Tuncurry shops & entertainment areas. Surrounded by beautiful Lakes on one side and the famous Seven Mile Beach on the other side. Only downside is no TV Reception or phone Reception. However there is Internet so messaging apps and streaming is possible.

The camping/caravan areas of this holiday park are nicely old-school. We were on a blue metal site a stone's throw from beautiful Wallis Lake in lakeside north. There are a couple of mat sites and concrete slabs. Some of the sites are a tight fit for van + 4WD. No TV reception via antenna or mobile coverage/data. Used the park's NBN WiFi and it was pretty good. Short walk up to the nearest amenities, which were clean but dated, showers hit & miss... middle female shower was the best. Saturday night wedding function at the adjacent Lakes Pavilion noise went on pretty late and fireworks were not fair on others most of who had dogs and/or small kids. But fantastic stay. Dog friendly. Beach across road. Great winter $ + firepit deal. We'll be back.

Loved Tiona. Very warm welcome and easy access to our site which was on the Lake side. Pool was inviting (so we did). Showers were basic but clean everytime we went. Even had hose fittings on the taps. Walk to Lake through littoral rainforest was great or walk to beach- both easy. Wifi was excellent. Short hop back to Smiths Lake/Blueys and even Seal Rocks not that far. Stop at Foodland Supermarket 5kms to the South for an excellent small supermarket. Maybe next time we will give the glamping tents a try for fun. Forster for A grade dining. Will def be back.

We spent 4 nights here on the surf side and enjoyed the access to the sea and walks through the scrub on the lake side. The facilities are well maintained and kept very clean plus you can even get a coffee in the morning. What cannot be ignored is the elephant in the room … road noise morning and late afternoon …. arghhhhh!!! During coffee time it’s 2-3 hours of road hum and at beer o’clock it repeats for another 2-3 hours … you get on average a car/truck/motor bike every 10 seconds. Enjoy sunrise and sunsets … their beauty is diminished by noise. Do ask if there is a wedding booked … it may be a tad louder than you normally get from holiday resort folk.

We had an Eco Cabin just a few metres from the lovely beach. The cabin had everything that you would need and was clean. A nice relaxing spot. Just a suggestion for drivers, if you are travelling from the South do NOT take the Lakes Way road as it is covered in potholes. Save your temper, car and suspension and drive North to Tuncurry and approach the park from that direction.
