Kamal, the owner of this great restaurant, not only serviced us four together with his family and staff with amazing traditional food - he also followed us for 100kms with the rucksack I forgot at his place to finally give it back with all belongings (passport, computer, cash) the day after in the city of Marrakech, some 200km away. Simply unforgettable - thanks Kamal, thanks again.

The comfiest rooms with authentic furnishings and details. A lovely terrace to read, enjoy a cold drink or a meal. Kamal and his team are top. The food is delicious and fossil hunting right across the street. We highly recommend this riad when you are wanting peace and quiet to reflect and enjoy the Morocco countryside

We enjoyed an incredibly unique experience with the owner, Kamal, today! His lifelong experience with the area and local tribe afforded us a visit with a remote family whose hospitality was heartwarming.

We had a wonderful stay at Dar Isselday, a great stop off on our way back to Marrakesh from Merzouga. It is in a convenient location, just off the main road with scenic views into the valley and oasis. The outside balcony is a beautiful, relaxing space, and our room was very nice, clean and comfortable. The host made us feel very welcome and well looked after. The shower took a while for hot water to come through, but this did not impact the enjoyment of our stay.

An amazing hotel! Located next to the main road, so it's easy to reach. Spacious rooms (with airconditing) and amazing staff! We had a great time here during our travels. We took the option to go on tour with the owner to a mineral rich mountain, which was great. Dinner was delicious as well, starting with a pumpkin soup, a chicken tajine and a banana cake for desert. Overall an amazing experience, would definitely visit again!

Amazing stay! The people are so nice and try to do everything to make you feel welcome and have a comfortable stay. We also had a trip through the moutains to find minerals with the owner. Even though his english isn’t the best he is really trying to explain everything. The room was very spacious, clean and has airconditioning. The food was excellent (definitely try the pumpkin soup, chicken tajine and banana cake they were delicious). If I go back, I definitely want to stay here again.

A warm welcome for lunch - we took the menu of the day which was excellent! Delicious and not over facing, portions just right. We shared a chicken tagine and a vegetable tagine. Potato cake desserts were lovely - a cross between a pikelet and a rice pudding! It’s a great stop over after the mountains and heading to the desert. Service excellent. Bathroom facilities excellent!

We stopped here for lunch as part of our Moroccan tour. The setting is beautiful and all the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The owner and all the staff were charming and we were particularly taken with the dessert of potato tart with yogurt and fruit! Would highly recommend!

We were passing by on our way to Marrakech from the desert and wanted to have an authentic Moroccan meal. Our guide knew this restaurant owner and called in a couple of hours before our arrival. Happy to report that this was one of our best meals in Morocco. Beautiful location, friendly owner and the tastiest food. It is a family owned guest house that has some rooms along with the restaurant. Definitely plan to come back next time for a stay and to explore the nearby mineral mountains.
