Hotel Dex Tlaquepaque

Our stay at Dex Hotel Tlaquepaque was far from pleasant. The hotel is extremely noisy; you can literally hear conversations from the street even though we were on the second floor. Having traveled in Mexico for many years, we understand things can be louder than in Europe, but this was unbearable, especially considering the street was relatively secluded. Moreover, the organization at the hotel is amateurish with a clear lack of proper management. The pool water was murky, the breakfast was poor, and the lock on our room door was nearly impossible for a novice to operate. The only aspect that matched high standards was the price charged for a night's stay, which suggested a level of quality that was not delivered. In short, I do not recommend this hotel.

The hotel looks nice when you enter it. The room is ok but you hear everything, so noisy!!! Breakfast is very poor, a small bowl of fruit, yoghurt and a tastless roll with watery coffee. But the noise from the outside was the worst, we haven’t slept at all during our stay, even with the earplugs we bought….This hotel is overpriced, not worth the money!!

Service was super friendly. Took my aunt to Tlaquepaque just for an overnight getaway and was impressed by how close everything was and overall the cleanliness of the place. If I could rate it I would give it a 10

This was our second stay and while we recommend this hotel because of its location and how nice the rooms are, we had the same problems on our second visit. Not enough towels. Breakfast - cold coffee and stale bread. Such a shame as this is such a lovely hotel.

Lovely room and very attractive building. Staff were very pleasant but did not speak much English so we got lost in translation. Breakfast was complimentary and I got a cup of coffee and bowl of fruit. Waiter said there was no bread so my husband ordered eggs and was charged for them. Suddenly some stale bread appeared from nowhere. It was really quite funny. We wj go back next week.

Staff very professional and cordial. I would have liked that both tv’s worked appropriately and that they’d be enough towels for the quantity of ppl registered to stay. Most hotels have free shuttle service to and from airport, because this hotel does not. They do help you get a taxi to take you to the airport but it’s paid out of your own pocket. Other than that…..GREAT HOTEL!! Loved it!! Would most definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

This Boutique hotel was modern, sleek and most importantly in a great location. The rooms were clean, spacious and perfect for our family of four. The staff was pleasant and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was excellent. We inquired about laundry service and although they did not have the service on site they were able to make sure we had our needs met and contacted a local laundry service to pick up and drop off our items. We were most impressed by the Front Desk receptionist Fernanda. It was our son's second birthday and she not only recommended a bakery but ensured the cake was ordered and delivered to the hotel by the time we returned from our tour that day. We were amazed with the hotel itself but mostly we were impressed with the staff. We will recommend this hotel to family and friends planning to travel to Tlaquepaque. One small warning, if you have little ones, the banister railings for the stairs and those over looking the open middle area of the hotel are widely spaced. We had to be very diligent about witching our two year old because he could most definitely fit between the rails.

Loved this hotel. Very clean comfortable and walking distance to town. Even more the staff were exceptional so nice and attentive to all guest . Went above and beyond to make our family feel welcomed. Would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Newer boutique hotel in the heart of Tlaquepaque. The rooms are quaint and modesty sized with small balconies. The staff are all warm, friendly, and helpful of your needs. A modest continental breakfast is included each morning but there is a breakfast menu with plenty of options for a reasonable cost. The only things we did not like was the lack of lighting in the room. With only one overhead light, and no bed side lamp, it was a bit uncomfortable in the evening, while the Queen beds are tiny and smaller than expected and not the most comfortable for tall guests. Overall, the hotel is clean, secure, and walking distance to plaza for all your shopping and dining needs. One more mention, the staircase/rotunda area outisde the rooms can be noisy depending on guests and staff. Either way we will likely be back.
