Wickaninnish Inn

Our family of 5 stayed for 3 nights earlier this month in rooms 111 and 201 and this hotel is awesome. It fully deserves its reputation and I'd love it even more if it weren't so arduous to get to! We were on a two week holiday in BC and took the ferry across to Vancouver island but then it's a 3/3.5 hour drive from there as you watch the weather getting progressively duller. Given many of the hotels here pitch themselves as beach resorts (and the beach is spectacular) we had hoped for better weather but I appreciate the hotel can't cater for that! Its location right on the sandy beach is beautiful (misty two days we were there so the views for us from The Pointe restaurant were not as spectacular as the pictures online) and the rooms have large picture windows including in the bathroom which we all loved. We splashed out one night on the tasting menu and both the meat and vegetarian versions were excellent and worth the money. It was a real treat and the staff were happy to make the odd swap to cater for dietary requests and likes / dislikes. We also had dinner at the main restaurant which is in the same room as the Pointe and it was also delicious. The staff are fabulous, every single one we met and the concierge made excellent recommendations for us. One morning we were late leaving breakfast for a bear tour and the staff rallied and put everything in boxes and takeaway cartons so our daughters didn't miss out. They did it with a smile too. One of our daughters had room service one evening as she wanted very simple food and she loved that too! The rooms are some of the best I've ever stayed in, just beautifully styled and equipped. Service is efficient and friendly. The gym is small but well equipped though at peak times it was very busy. And the spa - wow just wow. My signature treatment was one of the nicest I've ever had and I am only disappointed that even I hadn't booked enough in advance for others in the family to have one too. We also did a yoga class which we all enjoyed.

This was our first time at a Relaix property. It’s quite a drive from Victoria (4.5 hrs) but WELL worth it!! Our room in the main building had a partial ocean view and was beautifully appointed. Yes it’s pricey (averaged about $950 CAD/night) but it’s top-notch. The staff were superb - nothing was too much trouble. Just rustic elegance all round. Nice small touches for my wife’s 40th (personalized menu at The Pointe, desserts and jams in the room). Three nights was too short!

A wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating four days watching the surf and storms, eating good food, reading good books, beautiful hikes, and a heavenly spa treatment. I cannot recommend a stay here enough.

Once in a lifetime experience. The views from the hotel are amazing. Everything about this place is charming, unique and beautiful.

If you are looking for a tranquil place for rest and relaxation, definitely put The Wick on top of your list. With heaps of things to do (both outdoor and indoor), this place will never disappoint. From having an onsite cafe, restaurant, beach, spa, library, nature treks, surely you need more than 2 nights to enjoy all the things this place has to offer. Regardless of which season you visit The Wick, you will still have an awesome stay at their property. My personal fave would be around December, the decorations, the Christmas spirit and vibe are definitely worth checking out. The staff here (regardless of which department you are dealing with) are definitely world class and customer service oriented.

We got married here in 2017, and try to return each year. It is a sanctuary for us, beautiful, peaceful, we always feel pampered. Highly recommend !
