Sotetsu Fresa Inn Higashi Shinjuku

The hotel location is next to the Higashi shinjuku metrol station.

It was my 1st time checking into this hotel. I stumble into this hotel because there was good review. So when I came into this hotel, I was pleasantly happy with what I am expected. The counter lady spoke English asking me if I want to check in early at 2pm instead of 3pm and she arranged my registration quickly. The process took less then 5 mins and I was already in the room at 2.05pm. ( Extra 1000Yen for early book in ) The room space was sufficient for myself since I extended my business trip for another 2 days. The beds and toiletries were presently nicely and there was even a clock by my bedside for a quick check on the time. I got the highest floor at Level 12 and it was a good view from the top. The TV programme consist of only Japanese channels. No English programmed at all. After my 2 days and 1 night stay, the checkout process was quick. With just a press of a button to acknowledge my checkout, I return the card access into a feeding slot and that is all required. Overall, the stay was pleasant, the toiletries was more then sufficient and I would like to come back again to book this hotel and bring my wife for a short holiday.

The room is ok, the fridge doesn’t really work, the pillow is wayyy too soft (zero support). Quite a walking distance to the busy busting area (JR train station). However, they do have underground railroad station and convenient store near by. Nothing much to do around the hotel area unless you walk 20mins out. See the picture attach, the underground station B2 exit literally 2 mins away from hotel.

The location is really great, if you need to stay in Shinjuku area, it is very close to JR station. but staff should be more friendly in my view. Omotenashi please!!

The room is smaller than expected. Pillows are not comfortable. However, the location is great, right next to a major station. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful.

Right next to Higashi-Shinjuku Station. Several supermarkets and eateries along the street. McDonald’s is just down the street.

Room was small (expected of any other rooms in Tokyo) and was challenging to open 2 large suitcases for 2 travellers. Room was clean with fresh change of towels daily. Close to the station. Would stay again!

Nothing spectacular, but clean and in good condition, also nice amenities.

We have a pleasant stay and staff are very helpful. I want to specifically recognise ‘LI 李’ and the trainee who really helped me a lot to solve my problems to avoid double booking. She is very patient, kind, helpful, professional and handled my case in a timely and professional manner. Definitely will come back to stay in this hotel again.
