Historic building sympathetically restored and only a short walk from the centre of Tongeren. Spacious comfortable room, excellent breakfast and lots of info on where to go, what to see and where to eat from our friendly host. Highlights were the Gallo-Roman Museum, archaeological site underneath the cathedral, Sunday antiques market and great food at the ‘Infirmary’ in the old ‘Beguinage’ quarter by the river… Who knew that Tongeren was once the most significant Roman town in Belgium- and had such a fascinating history? Great place for a long weekend break - and we will definitely stay at the Hotel van Steyns again if we come back for more antiques hunting!

Aangename kennismaking met Laurent, de broer van Corné waar we verbleven in hotel Caelus VII op 10 min stappen. We mochten gebruik maken van hun fietsstalling tijdens ons verblijf in Caelus VII. Heel gastvrije mensen. Zeker aanrader voor fietsvakanties.

Het is een prachtig en gezellig hotel en de karakteristieke elementen van het gebouw zijn bewaard gebleven. Ruime privé parkeergelegenheid. De kamers zijn schoon, netjes en het ontbijt is een aanrader! Super vriendelijk ontvangen door gastheer Laurent welke vele tips had wat te doen en waar te eten in Tongeren.

Wat een leuke ervaring. Nog voor aankomst voelde ik me al welkom. Bij vernoemen van mijn naam in een voorafgaand telefoontje werd ik direct herkend en 'verwacht'. Super leuke en warme ontvangst ter plaatse en hulp werd aangeboden voor de koffers. Ook werden we vlotjes door Tongeren geloodst op een plannetje. We kregen een pracht van een kamer en zeer ruim. Ook werd er een leuke attentie voorzien op bed voor mijn vrouw haar 50e verjaardag !! Dikke aanrader!

uniek concept! een authentiek pand met de persoonlijke ontvangst door supervriendelijke dame (Katrien met goeie uitleg over Tongeren) en lijkt op een B&B-ervaring, maar met de luxe van een kleinschalig hotel met alles er op en eraan (tot zelfs washanden en zeer kwaliteitsvolle badprodukten). De eigen stijl in een historisch pand wordt in alle kleine details doorgetrokken (Ambiorixsleutel, authentieke kranen) en hebben er enorm van genoten! uiteraard is de afgeschermde parking een extra troef. De meneer die 's morgens instond voor de ontbijtservice heeft ons verwend op een heel attente wijze (koffiekopje opwarmen met warm water zodat onze koffie langer warm bleef)...waar kan je zo een service nog vinden?? rustige,frisse ruimte met zicht op het tuintje en een kwaliteitsvol ruim aanbod tijdens het ontbijt waar niets aan ontbrak. Komen zeker en vast terug naar Tongeren voor dit hotel! een 4 sterrenbeleving in een 3sterrenzaak: je moet het maar doen! 1 tip echter : probeer airco te integreren indien mogelijk ?

Parking aisé. Le personnel est serviablle, et super gentil. On a dormi dans la chambre n°2 qui est à rue mais rien à redire. Calme,spacieuse,très joliment décorée. On a adoré. Le déjeuner parfait, tout y était très bon. On y reviendra

T****e maal daar, en zoals te verwachten SUPER!! Vriendelijke ontvangst, en de kamer GEWELDIG!! Ruim. Groot bed, goede matras en kussens. Badkamer met alles erop en eraan, zelfs washandjes!! Ontbijt, om uw vingers bij af te likken!! Met de vriendelijke en persoonlijke bediening van de patron zelf.

We kozen een kleinschalig hotel. De ontvangst en bediening tijdens ons verblijf was super! Vanaf de aankomst tot het vertrek hadden we echt een gevoel dat we met ons gat in de boter gevallen waren. Een uitstekende keuze voor een kort verblijf in deze aangename historische stad.
