Hotel le Fer a Cheval

We have stayed with my husband for one night. The room is really basic, lacking any nice touch and amenities, there is actually nothing there. The paper cups in the bathroom , plastic flower, hairdryer is attached to the wall like in the 90s. More cons: the room isolation is really bad, you can hear someone is going to the toilet next to you :)) For the advantages: Good bed with the perfect mattress Location, it’s 5 min to the beach Very clean

Loved this boutique hotel. Great location in easy walking distance to the beach, restaurants and shops. Our room was very spacious and well appointed. The bed was supremely comfortable with beautifully soft sheets. We had a window that opened to the street which was lovely for fresh air. Staff were very friendly. We appreciated the offer of an umbrella. Parking was very accessible at the nearby ****** and wasn’t expensive. We loved our stay and don’t hesitate to recommend.

Room and bathroom are very clean. Breakfast was nice. Staff is very friendly. It's a good idea to reserve a parking space and it's in the underground parking at the ****** not far from the hotel. Was disappointed we did not get the room in the main building. Had stayed in same hotel but in main building twice and enjoyed the stay so much that we decided to come back but this time the experience is different. Room is clean but small. WiFi is not working at all. TV is not working at all, alot of statics. No aircon or fan since it's very warm when we were there.

Here are the main points I highlighted during my stay at Hotel Le Fer a Cheval: 1. Room - the room wasn’t renovated at all although it was advertised as such. Rather the room was outdated and had a lot of cracks and even mold. 2. Room temperature - the room was extremely hot with no ability to cool it. Opening the windows helped a little but there are huge drawback to keeping them open (see 3 below). 3. Noise - I mean LOTS of noise - locals, tourists, cars, delivery vehicles - 24/7. Also, there are several restaurants on the street which are opened late. Therefore, expect sleepless nights. 4. Bed - the bed and the pillows were very uncomfortable which, combined with sleepless nights, will give anyone a headache. 5. Toiletries - zero! There was a bottle of shower gel / shampoo but it was empty. 6. Staff - staff were nice but only up to a certain point. Accommodating a reasonable request is not something one should expect from them. The bottom line - value for money is 1 out of 10 so I would stay away from this place.

I’ve stayed at this hotel twice before and thought highly of it, but my latest trip was a bit of a let down. The comfort rooms are very lackluster compared to the privileged rooms - there’s not even a kettle and tea bag, let alone a glass to drink from. This was definitely a budget room, so don’t expect anything except the barest bones. The small villa has very steep stairs with no lift. I also booked in person, and found I could have got the room for a better price if I booked on their website. That said, it is nicely refreshed and it’s a good location. Wouldn’t stay again, but it’s certainly not a bad place to stay.

The staff were delightful and could not have been more helpful. The hotel is charming and the room was very clean, comfortable and pretty. I would stay here again. Also a fantastic location. Great value hotel.

Although the room was pleasant amenities were very poor. No internet, no tea/coffee making facilities. Area very noisy with nightclub close by even with windows closed which made the room very warm. Front desk staff were very friendly.

This is a nice villa in the center of town, close to everything, beach, dining, shopping. Limited on-site parking, reserve early.
