Owa Lodge Areguling

We stayed 4 nights in the family room (bungalow) as a family of 4 and enjoyed the quietness and, above all cleaningness!!! We did also like the breakfast lunch and dinner, very well cooked and healthy. The staff is very nice, kind and helpful (English spoken)

Our first visit to Lombok. The people at Owa Lodge could not be nicer. Organised pickup from the airport, scooter hire and driver to Senggigi when we left. Special mention must go the the staff at night for the food and service - excellent. We had booked the family lodge but found the upstairs very warm so changed to a twin room which in hindsight was much nicer. The beach at Are Guling is rather dirty (typical of Lombok in general) as they really haven’t got the infrastructure which is appearing in Bali. Reef it sea grass covered and fairly surfer friendly. The road in is pretty rough but once on the main road conditions are great.

It was a dream to stay there. We extended multiple times and even came back after a round trip around Lombok. Beautiful place with lovely people! 100 % recommend it! The view is wonderful and the beach is 2 minutes walk away You should rent some scooters to go around, otherwise it can be tricky.

We had a wonderful time at owa longe. Well suited for families, couples and groups of friends. The place is remote and in front of a beautiful field of buffalo that takes you to the beach. You immediatly slow down and relax when you arrive. Areguling was by far the best surf spot of the trip. I can see some people complaining about the road and the place being rustic. But that is non sense. Areguling is more remote in comparison to kuta and you will enjoy that. However, still very close if you would like to go for a drive. And this place is by far the best option in areguling. The staff is so friendly and so is the family that owns the place. The pool is actually refreshing, temperature wise ( not comon over here). The food is delicious. Very local and delicate with lots of fish, not heavy and greasy like other places. We tried everything on the menu and loved it. We had a wonderful Christmas feast organised by them. The whole vibe of the place is very cosy and friendly. By far the best hotel out of the 3 we stayed. We cannot wait to go back

The road in is in terrible shape as is the lodge. Ants of all sizes have taken over and are slowly eating the place apart. Screens not replaced and windows that would not close. The door knob for Water closet would come off in your hand. The grounds and the lodge look tired. Areguling beach has no warungs and is covered with garbage mostly plastic. What a shame. There is no reason to stay there we left a day early, for the Katamaran and glad we did.

We stayed four nights at Owa Lodge and found it was a great spot to base ourselves for exploring Kuta and the nearby beaches. Just a few minutes walk from the nearest beach and a 15 minute scooter ride to our favourite beach, Selong Belanak, was great. The room was spacious and comfortable, had a nice balcony overlooking the well maintained garden and pool, and was cleaned regularly. The bar / restaurant area was a nice place to hang out and the meals we ate there were delicious. Staff were really friendly and helpful and helped us learn some new Indonesian words, recommended places to go, arranged transport and scooters. They were really friendly and attentive and helped create a really chilled and relaxed atmosphere. Owa Lodge was one of our favourite places to stay duirng our three week trip to Bali and Lombok and would definitely come back if we are lucky enough to return. Terima kasih!

Nous avons passé 10 jours à Owa Lodge dans un bungalow très spacieux, avec une mezzanine pour nos filles et une salle de bain extérieur très joliment décorée. La piscine était juste en face, propre et entourée d’un magnifique jardin très bien entretenu. L’équipe d’Owa Lodge a été super, ils nous ont si bien accueillis, toujours souriants et serviables. Une équipe au top. Le directeur Thomas qui est français a été super sympa, il nous a aidé à louer un scooter et nous a conseillé pour les restaurants. Le petit déjeuné était fabuleux, le meilleur de notre voyage en Indonésie. Nous avons aussi dîné plusieurs fois au restaurant de Owa Lodge, tout était excellent, les frites étaient faites maison, les meilleurs de Lombok. Owa Lodge est situé à 15min de kuta, loin du bruit et proche des plus beaux paysages de kuta Lombok, il se situe près d’un village, qu’on a prit plaisir à traverser tous les jours tellement les habitants étaient souriants et accueillants. Notre séjour à Owa Lodge a été super, l’un de nos meilleurs souvenirs à Lombok, nous reviendrons certainement pour notre prochain séjour. Nous remercions Thomas et toute son équipe pour l’accueil et leur gentillesse.
