Good location on the edge of the town. Around 20/25 mins walk to the town centre, where the famous E Hayes shop with its large historic motorbike collection (inc Burt Munroe's bike). The lovely Queens Park Gardens are a similar walking distance Nice modern well equipped room with well fitted kitchen area, settee and table. Plenty of restaurants (of various ethnic foods) in the town centre and area. Would consider staying here if touring the area again

We found this motel beautifully clean and well situated for visiting Invercargill. Our unit was spacious, clean and comfortable. Service was impeccable and friendly. I can't rate Balmoralodge highly enough. Definitely the place to stay when visiting Invercargill.

Clean and tidy. We had a teenager with us so the family unit being a bedroom open to the lounge down stairs was not the ideal but still worked for what we needed. Good facilities and very friendly staff. Well featured kitchen with plenty of space. Lighting was a bit dark but still useable.

Very friendly welcome. Big spacious room. Very clean, TV had apps so very easy to stream content. Easy walk to town. Kitchenette well equipped, large bathroom. Housekeeping staff were lovely. The only things that let it down were: broken window handle (apparently were chasing up), broken bedside light, no recycling facilities (ie bin). If these things were sorted it would easiy be 5*.

The motel is situated in a good location, its within a 15 minute walk of a lot of restaurants and the Countdown is within a 5 minute walk. The room I had was very spacious, comfortable and well presented. The check in process was very efficient. I would definitely stay here again

Stayed at the Balmoral Lodge for a week and had a great experience. My accommodation, which was set over two floors, was spacious, quiet and contained all that I needed. The bathroom had a large spa bath and the kitchen area had a microwave, fridge, kettle and toaster. Most importantly, a very comfortable bed. Staff all very welcoming and helpful. Good parking and laundry facilities on site. Invercargill city centre and well stocked supermarket a flat walk away. The location also allows easy access to the highway network. From the motel I explored the coast from Stirling Point to Curio Bay aswell as travelling inland for a visit to Queenstown. Fiordland was also within easy reach. Airport was an 8 minute drive away. Would definitely recommend.

Stayed here twice during November 23. The rooms are very well appointed and spacious. Reception staff are friendly and professional. I visited from WA Australia and I highly recommend this lovely motel.

I stayed at the Balmoral Lodge for 5 days for work and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The unit was immaculate with all the comforts of home. The bathroom was modern and well set out, with a kitchen that was fully equipped with all the mod cons. I had a unit that had an upstairs area for the bedroom which had a lovely outlook and the bed was super comfortable. The staff were very welcoming when I checked in with helpful advice of shops close by. The town is an easy walk close by and Queens Park is not far either. I would definitely recommend booking here.
