They have the best service . Their Food is nice everything is .staff treat us very well .choosing umthunzi hotel was the best decision. Hotel is very clean their bed are comfy . Don’t hesitate to book at umthunzi hotel you won’t regret.

From checking in at the reception to going into my hotel room, the staff was super helpful and had an amazing customer etiquette. My room had an immaculate ocean view and a balcony. The only issue I had was when I was trying to unlock the sliding door leading to the balcony, however when I call reception, they immediately sent a facilities personnel to unlock and explained that the double lock on the sliding door is to ensure that there is sufficient security. The king size bed was wonderful. Toilet and shower was so clean that you can even have a meal in there with the facilities fully operational. My only suggestion to the hotel management (and it’s something I have noticed in a lot of hotels) is that they should try and incorporate a two-pin plugging socket next to or under the side table to make it easier when you want to use your laptop or cellphone while charging. The charging point was a bit further from the bed, but wasn’t an inconvenience to me because I had only wanted to charge. Overall, my stay my amazing. I had the best dinner buffet. 10/10.

What an amazing stay! The executive room is so beautiful! Gorgeous four poster bed with a beautiful Seaview- fluffiest duvet & pillows, gorgeous setting. The staff are amazing! They honestly go out of their way to assist you with a smile. Great attention to detail. We made great memories here! Also an awesome buffet breakfast. My favorite touch was that I had to leave very early on Sunday morning to visit my mom in hospital in Richardsbay Umthunzi made me the most awesome take away lunch pack - it was very special- thank you. Highly recommended

Only reason for 4 out of 5 was nobody was able to help with our luggage. 2 sets of stairs can be a problem for older people without help. A la carte dinner was very expensive. The room was very comfortable. Very clean. Tv chanels was not very clear but did not really use it. We liked the stay and would defenitally go back. The hotel was good value for money.

Food was delicious and the staff were efficient and very friendly. Highly recommended. Central location of the South Coast which is walking distance from the beach. Shops and a shopping centre within a few kilometers and there is quite a few restaurants within a 5 km radius.

Everything was absolutely great, from the spacious rooms, the amazing service, the food, the location, parking, safety, walking distance to the beach, etc.Had an amazing and awesome holiday. Will definitely recommend Umthunzi Hotel to family and friends.

Let's start by giving a huge round of applause to the head chef of Umthinzu because what he did to those pots, cannot be undone. The place was pretty neat, beds spacious, rooms clean.We had hoped to get the rooms with a sea view but unfortunately missed out on that. The reception was okay when we came through, it could have been warmer and more inviting, but it was the afternoon so social batteries may have been somewhat depleted. I am not one to go for seconds but the food that was cooked that evening was top tier! It would have been an insult to the chef not to back twice, if not thrice for more. Breakfast was yet again, scrumptious along with the lunch. The conference rooms were great too, we had all of the needed tools available for our use for a successful stakeholder engagement.

I was several time in Huthunzi Hotel because of business reason. I always find a good hospitality and good services. The breakfast is ok, the room is ok. It's a quite place were to relax after a day of work.
