Captain's Camp

We were a group of 4 ladies who decided to go on a camping expedition for our college reunion after 8 years. Had an amazing time at Captain’s Camp. Jaya Bhat took care of us really well and she was personally there to assist us whenever we needed something. Tried pitch able tents for the first time and it was pretty cold at night. Blankets provided helped, but additional blankets had to be requested. Camp is close to Sirsi town and highly recommend this place.

Loved the place. The property is planned very well. It is far from the hubbub of the highway/city but yet not more than 2 kms from Sirsi central. They have a myriad of activities and trekking trails to explore. The food was great. My only regret is I stayed here for too short a time to properly enjoy it. Already looking forward to visit again sometime soon :)

It was a drizzling week when we reached the "Captain's camp". First impression was amazing and didn't disappoint us. In the middle of plantation and natures valley, soothing sight for your eyes. Especially after the prolonged (only) sight of concrete jungles. You can take a walk and to the many activities that the camp can offer. Definitely a good and relaxing destination if you would like to rewind and refresh. Since, it was raining we couldn't do the camp fire . Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed the stay. + Awesome dining area and good food + Tent stay is a different experience altogether. Well maintained and hygiene as well + Super clean wash rooms

Me and my colleagues stayed at "Captain's camp" for 1D and 1N it was such a refreshing experience words are not enough to express my happiness. The locality was so nice and the places around the camp was amazing. Beautiful is an understatement to describe the place. As well as the camp being spacious and clean, the food also tastes great. Captain Sujay Hegde is a knowledgeable and experienced person who will explain bits and pieces about the plants and nature in and around his camp. If you are looking to get away from a busy city environment and explore nature, check out this place.

We had an amazing experience at "Captain's Camp". We went for a nice trek where we could see the 7-layers of the Western Ghats Mountains and a Plantation visit. My first experience in a tent stay, and I was so glad to see the clean linen and pillows provided! Kudos Captain sir!

Like the title suggests, me and my colleagues had a beautiful and ecstatic time camping out in a paradise called the "Captain's Camp". It is an amazing place to visit which has a unique setup specially for campers and hikers. A perfect place for a getaway from a busy and hectic city life. Captain's Camp is located in Sirsi amidst the hills and plantations of the Western Ghats. The host of the Captain's Camp, Captain Sujay Hegde, is an amazing and a super energetic host who took care of us while we stayed at the camp. He is super knowledgeable and super guide. The Camp site had lot of activities to keep us occupied and experience the nature. Captain Sujay had organised our activities and had taken us for a Trek in to the woods in the evening. It was drizzling and was a wonderful experience at the top of the hill we were awestruck by the view of the Western ghats with mist floating and cover the hills like a blanket of cotton.. A beautiful trail for trekkers and a beautiful view at the hill top. On our way back down we took a trail which goes aside of a stream. The greenary and the stream added more beauty to the trail and was an exceptional experience I have ever had. The plantation walk on the next was the best as we had our host explain about the plantation that aged back almost 150years .. the amount of knowledge and work the host and his family have put in to maintain and cultivate the land over the years is exceptional. The camp site has alot of team activities. There is a sit out for readers with a view of the stream and also a watch post at the foot hill.. A beautiful bonfire setup to enjoy your evenings. The tents were the best part, cozy and warm and very comfortable to stay for the night. The cleanliness of the toilets and the bath area was spot on.. You get hot water for showers. The food was arranged by our host and was really delicious. The dining area is huge and has multiple plug points to charge your devices .. overall an amazing place to just lose yourself in nature . I would definitely visit the place again and explore all the trekking trails next time. A beautiful time spent in Paradise. Thank you Captain for taking good care of us and we would love to comeback and explore more. A home away from home indeed 😊

Set amidst an arecanut plantation, this beautiful camping/nature resort is a breath of fresh air from the city. Literally! This is camping with a difference. Maybe call it even as luxury camping. The camp site offers various activates like archery, an obstacle course, rappelling, etc., to keep oneself occupied for the duration of the say. You can even go on a trek through the wilderness, with eight trekking trails varying in difficulty and even ones suitable for the reluctant trekker. The property has a fresh water stream running through it and also has a waterfall where you can take a dip in. You can even take the plantation tour where the host, the Captain himself will keep you engaged with his abundant knowledge about the flora and fauna of the farm. And going back to that luxury camping bit, Captain's Camp also has a restaurant, clean and well-kept restrooms and bath facilities, the tents are spacious, set on an elevated platform with rain covers, pillows, mattress and blankets are provided and all of this overlooks the garden and the greenery of the farm. All in all, it was a pleasant and a rewarding stay amidst the nature at Captain's Camp.

One of the best places to stay with family, enjoying the soothing sounds of birds throughout the day, provides a disconnect from worldly pressures and contributes to a rejuvenating atmosphere. Gratitude to Sirsi and Captains Camp for creating a memorable stay. I look forward to visiting again due to the exceptional hospitality received.

Located amidst a forest in a, spice plantation, on the outskirts of Sirsi, this is an ideal place for those seeking peace and tranquility. Home crooked food and friendly staff makes one feel at home. This experience will make us look for another visit, for sure.
