Baymont by Wyndham Valdosta at Valdosta Mall

Not a bad place to stay if you aren't used to something better. Our stay in Valdosta was last second and we were limited on choices. We picked Baymont based on reviews, offered amenities, and pictures. What we didn't see is the run down furniture, the fact that their pool is still closed due to COVID when most other hotels in the area are open, and the fact that there was only toast, yogurt, cold cereal, and instant oa**eal offered for the "included breakfast". I can say that at least the bed was very comfortable. As a last resort hotel, not bad. But if you have time to plan, spend just a bit more and go somewhere else.

Noisy heater, curtains bad, not enough bedding on bed, had to go to office to get another blanket and then that still wasn’t enough. No mirror by the bathroom sink

The breakfast was Okay but the coffee and the orange juice very, very weak. More water than any flavor. waffles were goo but sweet rolls were not fresh and very few of them at 8 am.

Older property but well worth the price. Convenient to restaurants, stores etc. Comfortable and pretty clean.

From the outside it is well painted and kept up. The room was very “worn-out”. The facility is ready for a renovation. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

pictures show bedspreads and other amenities. The pictures are not true. staff was nice but not very knowledgeable. this place is very tired. that is the nicest way i can give a description. at least no bugs visible.

This was by far one of the worst hotels I have been in for years. As a travel business owner, I have done some extensive traveling and had amazing experiences. This hotel was one of the worst. The first room I was in was filthy! There was dust and dirt on every area in the room. The shower fixtures were loose and noisy when the water was on. The floor, although not carpeted, had not been swept nor mopped in a while. My daughter's socks were so dirty from walking across the floor. I called the front desk and the clerk stated he would have housekeeping come in and deep clean the next morning. He offered to put me in another room, but I had been driving for 17 hours and was too exhausted. The next day I left out to meet family and returned to a partially cleaned room and the shower rod was broken. There was a sticky note on the mirror stating such. I called the desk again and was moved to another room. New room, same condition. I was over it! I took pictures of what I saw as proof and couldn't wait to check out. I will NOT suggest this hotel to any of my customers!

Staff was nice and helpful. The first room i was given was dirty, there was an ashtray with ashes and it smell like someone had just finished smoking in there. The bathroom was super dirty and the ac was not working. I did appreciate the staff was able to switch me to a different room and that one was clean. If you're staying just to rest and keep going is a good spot and very affordable.
