Good mid-range hotel. Not 5-star luxury, but quite pleasant a stay. I came here on business, and it was a good choice - I'd stay here again. The room was quite spacious and comfortable. One oddity was that there was no power socket near the bed (so if you want to charge your phone up overnight you can't have it by your bed), and also no power socket easily accessible from the desk - there was a socket down at floor level that was already in use for the lamp and coffee machine. Surely everyone sits at a desk and expects to be able to plug in a laptop. But a colleague said that his room did have power sockets in more convenient places, so maybe it was just one room. The breakfast is fairly standard - they make eggs (however you like them) freshly on request, and everything else is as you'd expect but nothing outstanding or memorable. Fruit juice from a machine so not the best quality. The staff however were all great. The people we saw on reception and at breakfast were very friendly, helpful, and welcoming. No gym (that I saw), but its in a great location to go for a run down by the river and out of town. The location is perhaps the best feature - it's right by the centre, where there are so many restaurants spilling out onto the streets. You can't go wrong in the evening.
