Couldn’t complain about anything really. The staff were so wonderful, Ang in particular. We enjoyed the local Laos bbq that she kindly prepared for our dinner and hearing about the homegrown garden items. The rooms are clean, comfortable and spacious. A fridge would be a really great addition to the room as well. Location wise it’s a little far out of town so some kind of transport is needed. Tuktuk is available from the hotel but isn’t available later into the evening so we had to walk the 20-25mins back which we didn’t mind.

We loved our stay here. Ten simply decorated but spacious bungalows (4 of them with pool view) with a covered veranda you can sit on. Great setting against mountains background, although some have a (pretty) garden view only. Staff very friendly and helpful. We advise to have bikes, or motor bikes, to head into town (20 min walk otherwise) and to head to the lagoons etc. All can be arranged there. We were picked up and dropped off from/to station which was great. They serve breakfast and dinner. We ate here twice and the food (mix of local/thai and German dishes) was delicious. Only two minor improvement points we noted were that rooms could do with a safe (but the site seems very safe regardless and is locked off at night) and perhaps some sun lounger cushions for the wooden sun loungers at the pool. Overall a really great mid range place to stay if you want to avoid the busy town.

We had a wonderful stay with Lan and Thi Hong. We stayed for only 2 nights as they were fully booked so, unfortunately, we couldn't stay the 4 nights as we wanted. Lan was great with communication before our arrival. She very kindly arranged a complimentary pick up (and drop off) from the station. The bungalows themselves are large and very comfortable, with "balcony", a big comfortable bed and much needed air conditioning. Tea and coffee making facilities, toiletries and hairdryer. Very clean. The grounds are beautiful and at the back of the property is a very nice swimming pool, which is lovely for a refreshing dip. Bearlin Bungalows are outside of the town on the road to the blue lagoons and Nam Xay but they provide a tuktuk service to and from the old bridge into town for LAK 50,000 a return trip. They also have bicycles that you can borrow and they organised a buggy for us to go out and about in the local countryside for the day. And Lan booked onward train tickets for us for a small fee. For breakfast, they offer various set menus to choose from and they also offer lunch and dinner from a very nice menu. Food was all freshly cooked, very tasty, and very good value for money. We couldn't fault our stay and we were made to feel really welcome. Highly recommend.

Pros: The staff spoke excellent English, were kind and courteous, and the place gave off friendly and relaxed vibes all around. The views are marvelous during both day and night. Being away from the main town, the location feels a lot more safe and secure, especially considering the sorry state of the institutions in Laos. Since it's across the river from town, you have quick and easy access to the countryside, views and attractions, and can also rent buggies/scooters for even easier access and immediate adventure. Cons: The price of the rooms was on the steeper side, probably due to the concurrent Chinese national holiday this week. A set menu Breakfast+Beverages are offered, but not included in the room price. The air-conditioning took a while to get the fairly spacious bungalows down to temperature- it was honestly fine for me, but one of my traveling companions found it to be inadequate. The 'double beds' in the bungalows were all pairs of 'single' beds pushed together, it's a little awkward and could be much better. The duvets/blankets were also a pair of singles. Getting to the hotel via taxi was a bit of a faff- the road and bridge nearest to the hotel are only suitable for foot/2-wheeled traffic, and taxi's currently need to take the long way to get here.

What a lovely place! Over a kilometre out of Vang Vieng centre, so much more peaceful at night (although there is transport into town for those who want it). The booming music from the party bars is still audible but is not intrusive. Fragrant, well kept gardens a contrast to the urban reek. A nice clean pool and pleasant garden sitting / sunning areas. Our bungalow was the furthest away from the reception / dining area and had a stunning view of the karst cliffs nearby (although all the bungalows have balconies with nice views of the gardens or mountains). They rented us bikes - easy access to the Blue Lagoon etc. Pleasant menu available at good prices. Very nice, helpful people. Train / bus station transfers included and they procured our onward train tickets for only a small admin fee. Excellent value for the quality of accommodation and service. A great place to stay if you want tranquility and beauty.

Amazing place. Four Canadians spent 4 nights, could have spent 4 more. The staff went above and beyond. The grounds are beautiful, views are amazing. They take care of you and book everything you need. Thank you Bearlin for a great stay :)

Beautiful garden with cosy and well maintained Bungalows. Very friendly staff. Nice terrace to eat with a great view of the rocks. The kids loved the pool. Good location for a relaxed stay at vang vieng!

Très agréables bungalows dans un beau jardin à l'écart de la ville. Il faut demander les bungalows au fond du jardin pour éviter le bruit de la route. 20 minutes de la ville de Vang Viengh à pied. Location de vélos sans phares et sans freins. Quand on connaît ces inconvénients, c'est le choix de dormir à l'extérieur de la ville
