Melia Las Antillas

Within 2 weeks we stayed here twice. Beginning of the trip for 5 days and end of the trip for 3 days. Love the outlay of the hotel, food is good, you’ll always find something to eat that’s tasty, sometimes even amazing. Drink and coffee were good. Everyone was friendly and courteous. Room was great on the first leg (we were in main building) but for the last 3 days was a little disappointed. We were in a bungalow st the very end and unfortunately the room was more run down. That was disappointing but the 3 days passed quickly anyway. Just wished there was abit more consistency on that. Everyone deserves a nice room, shouldn’t be luck of the draw. It was my third time here, I really enjoy this hotel and would come back

Всё необходимое в номере было, всё работало исправно. Порадовало, что дали номер на втором этаже в самом удаленном домике, это позволило с комфортом отдыхать, не тусовались. Учитывая, что разница во времени составляла минус 8 часов, вставали до рассвета и ранние утренние прогулки по пляжу добавили положительных эмоций к пребыванию в гостинице. Белье и полотенца чистые, номер мыли каждый день, запах приятный, не навязчивый и не резкий (учитывая условия пост-ковидного приезда). Номер большой, размещение прошло комфортно и быстро (после 12 часового перелета это было важно). Море чистое, пляж комфортный. Большая часть отдыхающих предпочла купаться и загорать у бассейнов, что было для нас плюсом (пустынный пляж). Что же до чистоты, замечу одно, персоналу хватало работы по уборке территории отеля и пляжа, но это уже вопрос к воспитанию отдыхающих, кто явно не планировал убирать за собой (хотя урн было достаточно). По питанию - воздержусь от комментарий, его хватало, было и разнообразие, но наблюдались и очереди (персонал наполнял тарелки гостей в связи с ограничениями пост-ковидного периода). Отель старенький, но чистый, просит ремонта, но это нисколько не влияет на тот уют, который отель дарит отдыхающим. Я благодарю всех работников, кто тратит свое время и силы на создание атмосферы, комфортной для отдыха, остаться на отдых более 3 суток мы не смогли (слишком медленно текло время, хотелось активностей). Wow, the experience was incredible. There is a food shortage in Cuba, but we never were hungry. The food that they had was well prepared and the rooms clean. I need to say that the conceirge lounge and the service with a smile from Greter and Nadalis was so amazing. They truly wanted to make the guests feel welcome and comfortable. The level of service and attention was the main reason I will return and recommend Melia Las Antillas and especially the conceirge service to my friends and family!

There are ups and downs in this resort. We did not enjoy our room that much. It was ok, but not great, mostly because it was poorly maintained. The other accommodations in the resort were clean and good. The food lacked a bit of love, yet the drinks were alright. The beach in the back of the resort is AMAZING! What made the experience unforgettable, however, was the staff. In particular, we fell in love with a hardworking, dedicated, and hilarious employee called Clemente. He remembers what you like, how you like it and makes sure you feel taken care off during your stay. To top it off, the man is a real life magician, entertaining young and old with his tricks. We had enough knowledge from a previous trip to Cuba and other reviews to have limited expectations for this resort. Check-in was a bit slow because there was only one person at the front desk with a few couples ahead of us. The 1st room we were given was not good. Broken bathroom fixtures, broken brdside table, a lamp that did not work and a key safe with no key available. Biggest problem was the balcony view. All you could see was a black top roof with garbage and broken pieces of stucco. Front desk was gracious enough to move us to a better room, yet it bothers me that they try to pawn off this room for the same price as any other, especially because the resort was only filled to half capacity. House cleaning did a wonderful job of having our room cleaned daily. Towels were replaced daily, yet we only got two every day. Obvious shortage of toilet paper, at times barely had enough to use. Bathrooms in dire need of upgrading. Yet we always had hot water! Resort bars were okay, though expect to wait for drinks. Commonly short of employees, which is a theme not only here, but in many places in Cuba. Drinks were well prepared though. Resort buffet was barely passable. Find somethings that you can tolerate eating and stick with it. No eggs, bacon or eatable sausage. Anything with beef was tough and grisly. Didn't trust their pork because it looked like it was the same food from day before. Resort advertised 4 a la Cartes, there were just three. Could only eat at two of them because their concierge was rarely available to book. El Romantico was very good, Don Perone just so-so. Pools were clean. Ocean and beach were very nice. No problem finding chairs at either one. Resort staff were always friendly and courteous. Note: huge problem at this resort if you have mobility issues. Only one of 3 elevators worked. The small one that did function was not good. We were stuck going up and down a couple of times where the door would not open, and it would return to where you got in. Not good. We felt bad for a few people who used canes, etc. They had to use the stairs.

Melia las Antillas was a great resort for our 7-day vacation. The resort amenities were great, food was good, but the staff really made our experience stand out. A special thank you to Raul at the beach bar, Clemente at the buffet (especially at dinner when he would provide magic shows), and all the entertainment staff for making it such a fun experience. The beach was absolutely stunning – crystal clear blue water and pristine white sand. Overall, would highly recommend coming here for your next Cuban vacation!

Just came back from one week of 8 family get together at Melia Las Antillas. As everyone knows the beach is the best, you can walk a long way in the water, as I don’t swim, it was perfect. There are plenty of chairs and umbrellas. The beds are very comfortable, the air conditioning works really well, and there is always plenty of hot water. The suites are perfect for getting together. I requested for the 8 of us to be close together and thank you to Midiala Lopez Bernat who took care of fulfilling our request. Naidelys and Greter, the concierge team, booked our reservations for the 8 of us, a la carte restaurants, which was really appreciated. I also would like to mention and say a big thank you to Niuris, who cleaned our room, Jordan at the buffet, Yaneline at the coffee bar, and Juan Carlos at the El Conuco, who always served us with a smile. As everyone knows there are food ration in Cuba, maybe the buffet was not as elaborated as some people would like but there was plenty to eat. The drive to Varadero, in an old convertible, was great. We had a great holiday and thank you to all the staff.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They always had games and activities to do by the pool and beach. The food was great and never went hungry. The shows were great and played great music. Volleyball, dancing, plenty of fun.

Beach was amazing. Like most hotels in Varadero it was dated but very clean. Food was above our expectations and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would like to thank Naidelys and Greter who when above and beyond to make our stay a memorable one.
