Overall, I can’t complain too much. It wasn’t the cleanest place. According to the photos, it looked to be a better environment than it was once I arrived. Definitely needs some maintenance upkeep.

the worst experience I’ve had being on this earth. First let’s start out with the check-in.. you don’t know whether to go to the fence or go to the door on the side, your Uber will be just as confused as you are. I was greeted at the gate about 5 minutes after ringing the bells… if the man that worked the front didn’t come out to grab me I would’ve never know how to get in for check in. You go through the back area into the “podshare” a huge wood cabin that was basically terribly designed and everything is made from wood. You have a mattress a sheet and what they think is a blanket but it’s actually another sheet. TVs don’t work. All the furniture inside and outside are dirty as hell. Also all wood and both the bed and outside are infested with bugs. I spent an entire night fighting off bugs and still got bit all over I’m currently suffering from the one night stay tremendously I ended up in the emergency the next day and left the podshare right away.Another 24 hours in hell was not necessary. I was treated and given meds and have to spend the rest of my vacation with my face neck arms back and legs covered in bites. Not how I expected vacation to go. All the staff were notified of my incident and they played telephone with the information and watched me in pain until I told them&showed them what had happened. I was then told “I’m sorry we are getting heat treatment done soon we don’t know what people have coming” I was refunded but that doesn’t make up for the pain at all.

Maybe in its prime this place was nice, it has a good idea, but its unfortunatly past its prime and terribly maintained. For the price it was totally not worth it, might as well pay a little more and get something nicer and actually be able to sleep, or pay nothing and sleep on the beach. It is one of those places where you avoid touching anything. For like 25 people there are 3 bathrooms, one with out a door, one that is covered in urine and one with no toilet paper. Nice. If im going to macdonalds just to use the bathroom, and cant sleep due to the fans which make the place sound like a factory at night, what am i actually paying for? If you have a car your better off sleeping in it then coming here.

I have never experienced such a horrible hostel experience in my many travels. The online pictures were much brighter and cleaner than in reality...dark, dirty, filthy kitchen, rundown furniture and bedding, lumpy mattress, no privacy to change, bathrooms had no noise barriers, as bathroom doors were louvered wood, allowing all bodily functions (urinating, deficating, farting, vomiting...yes, we heard it all, at all hours of the night) to be heard clearly by all. Quiet hours, which were posted and communicated as 10pm, were not followed, with cooking and stomping around the place past 2am. The smell of **** and some who were clearly under the influence of substances, was evidenced. We did not feel safe and did not sleep at all. When we tried to explain and asked to cancel, or give a partial refund, the management refused and mocked and gas lighted our concerns, saying the man who was puking and using the kitchen after midnight probably had a stomach ache and was making a bite to eat to settle their stomach. They offered to move us to a different location that was far from where we needed our accommodations. We asked if we could bless 2 other women to use our paid pod for the remaining 10 days and they refused that as well and would not speak in person on a phone call...all communication done by text, ending with their manager, sending a smiley face and telling us to have a good day. I stayed at the Venice Podshare with my girlfriend last night and it was a wonderful experience. Michael was so helpful in getting us checked in after hours. The space was clean and neat and I loved the sound of the white noise machine they had playing like rain. We will definitely check out the other location in San Francisco this summer!

Horrible experience I would say!!!! This place is defenitely not what I expected to be.....the pictures have been decieving...it lookes al clean and tidy but in reality its clearly a refurbished building, all in wood, no privacy at all not even when you go to the bathroom, you hear people peeing, pooping or puke from your bed....... thats awful. They said they would have a curfew / silence hours but at midnight people still came in (not travellers who just arrived).... it made us feeling verry unsafe. In the middle of the night someone was puking ......someone was using the kitchen at 2 am!!! When we reported this to the manager and shared our experiences she tried to diminish our experience / feeling....she wanted to give us the oppurtunity to stay in another podshare location(s) but we were already traumatized from this one..... they didnt want to refund us anything, not even 50% as we paid forward for 11 days already!!! Even when we found 2 other ladies who wanted to stay in our place where we paid for; they didnt agree.....so basicly we did lose our money...... a horrible experience.....if you dont do well / or understand the "Venice beach vibes" this is certainly NOT the place you want to be.... The only positive side; the guy who was on Duty was really kind and nice to us....
