The room smells like rotten wood and bathroom is not clean. Cabinets are broken. We got the room for 3 people and barely can’t move.

Absolutely horrendous. We booked our stay for mid August in May. We travelled from Manchester England for our 2 night, midweek stay and after a long and fairly sweaty journey, we finally arrived at this hotel. The manager greeted us with our booking confirmation and “you can’t stay here”. Expecting a punchline to what was surely a joke, we were given the ‘options’ of a refund or… a refund. No apology, no empathy, just a straight faced rejection with no offer of compensation in any form. His reasoning was something to do with a pipe in our room and we were told nobody was staying (obviously untrue as there were people going upstairs during this discussion). Furthermore, we were told the issue had occurred that morning and he claimed that they had sent information about the cancellation (this was at 14:18) - when I checked my emails, I had been emailed at 14:02 - why in the name of Jesus he thought it best to wait until an hour before our check in time to inform us of our hotel being cancelled, I’ll never know. We luckily managed to get a booking at the amazing Palazza Paruta which prevented myself and my wife from sleeping rough for the next 2 nights. The room refund then took 3 days and 2 more visits to the hotel to be paid, taking even more time out of our trip. Thank god we didn’t have our child with us and that we had the ability to afford another hotel last minute. Utter shambles of a hotel, business and customer service and they now couldn’t pay me to stay there.

The pictures is no where close to what you will get and the wifi will not work at all and in regards to room hygiene I need to say just don't book this place it's not worth it

Hotel staff was friendly and appearance was clean and charming, however the room air conditioner barely worked leaving the room warm and musty. We spoke to the front desk who agreed to come look at the into but they never did. The room also had lots of mosquitoes and we later discovered bed bugs. Breakfast was very good. A bit of a walk to ST Marks Square, however they provided a coupon for one free gondola taxi ride across the canal per person which was helpful and the walk helped us explore some additional neighborhoods. Hotel does need some upgrades and repairs. Had there been no bed bugs and the air conditioning in our room been working better the repairs would easily be overlooked.

It was good, receptionist very helpful in guiding us to transportation.

This hotel was so disappointing. Looks beautiful when you look online. The rooms were very outdated and need decorating but would accept this. However the cleanliness of the rooms were disgusting. The reception staff were ok, but not overly friendly. Told us they would put our bags in the room but we had to carry 3 suitcases upstairs. We didn't stay in the hotel part but the apartment was not too far away. Only one pillow each and asked for another to be told NO! cushions and blankets in wardrobe were old, grotty, dirty and fraying. The shower was small and only had a shower curtain. No mirror in the bedroom only bathroom (not helpful if someone is having a shower) safe in bedroom but no keys. Mattresses are hard as rock. No facilities such as a kettle in the room. Wasn't given the complimentary gondola tickets until we asked after reading other reviews. Breakfast was ok as far as Continental goes, but when ordering hot drinks it felt like an inconvenience every time. The location was good as approx 1 km from St Marks square. Ordered some alcoholic drinks from the bar and was given in paper cups because we wanted to take them back to our room. No curtains in the rooms but did have shutters on the outside but made the room very dark.

Nice cozy hotel in the heart of Venice within a walking distance to all sights. However, the room needs serious reparing. Everything is old and broken, 4-star- hotel? Don't get it. The breakfast is free buffet, very good and abundant.

Check in was not very friendly at all. The room was not what was advertised. The site stated rain shower, swim up bar, iron upon request, one level with 10 unit property. None of these were the case. When we asked the front desk we were told we don’t know why the site says that. Our air conditioner was not cooling our room we called the front desk waiting 30 min for them to come to tell us nothing they could do. The drapes were all falling down, the bed was terrible, pillows ripped, cracked tiles and holes in walls. Worst hotel experience ever. When we asked to speak to a manager we were told they don’t come here often but here’s a card with email they might answer. They stated they did luggage storage which was just leaving your bag in the hotel lobby but they couldn’t ensure the safety of doing so.
