Si no fuese por el ascensor, o mejor dicho el no-ascensor, sería una buena opción. Hemos estado tres días, y al llegar nos dijeron que justamente esa tarde se había roto el ascensor( ya es mala suerte). Nuestra habitación, en el equivalente a un cuarto piso era muy incómodo casa vez que al hotel , después de todo el cansancio, volver a subir unas escaleras que además están muy muy deterioradas e inseguras. Tengo la certeza, pero cero pruebas, que el ascensor no lo habilita el hotel durante la temporada baja. Y es un servicio imprescindible, además de los trasiego de las maletas.

How to get into the hotel? Everything in Venecia is quiet difficult to get by with suitcases. You can choose taking the AliLaguna as it is the most convenient. The location of the hotel was quiet central inside Venecia. Really close to the Main Piazza.
Room was nicely decorated (Venecian style) but it was quiet small maybe it was the one I booked. Because everything is Venecia there are lots of businesses around. It can be quiet loud at night and early in the morning.
Continental Breakfast was good, lots of yummy food to choose from.
I like that we could pay for the city tax by card. You don't have to think about having cash at all with you.

We stayed here about 6 years ago, again for New year. We chose again because of location. I would say the room we stayed in Number 37 definitely needs updating. It was a small room but to be expected in a city centre location. However the bathroom was very small and shower inadequate in size. Disappointed to see the use of plastic cups in bathroom . We were notified on the 20th December that the lift was out of order. When we left on the 1st of January it had not been repaired. We did have help with our cases. My biggest complaint is about tne bedding. Pillows ok. Sheets white and clean . However no quilt on bed, it was 2 sheets sandwiching a very old blanket. There was another blanket to use in the same condition. Breakfast on offer was really good and choices plentiful.

Very good location..5 minutes to Rialto and 6 minutes to S.Marco. The room was big and comfortable. It was also clean. The breakfast was good. The reception was very kind and always helpfull. Very close to the restaurants and stores. We will stay at Hotel Gorizia a la Valigia again next time..

I stayed here with my mother. We really enjoyed our stay. Spacious room. Breakfast was great. Friendly staff. Very easily found from the airport getting the waterbus to Rialto bridge.

Perfect location. Clean, a**ospheric, staff are friendly and helpful. Lovely rooms. This was our 4th stay at this hotel, and we love it just as much as before.

Get the water taxi from airport to Rialto
Get off and go straight up the narrow alley inbetween a spar on the left and restaurant on the right
200 yards on the left is the hotel
Lovely hotel , staff and room
Room very warm had to switch the heating off
Breakfast very nice indeed
Area around is lovely and so convenient.
Would definitely recommend it to others
TIP
When going to a restaurant before you go In ask their cover charge as they charge from 3euro each person just to sit at the table
If you ask before you go in they say free

Ideally place hotel close to St Marks square and the Rialto Bridge. Hotel clean, staff very friendly and helpful, small gift for my partner who’s birthday it was appreciated! ( thank you Veronica!) Breakfast varied with both hot and cold options. Room cleaned and fresh linen every day, service staff friendly and also helpful. Would definitely stay here again!
