The hotel is very close to the Lodo port. But since it is too close, the house will shake when the boat hits the levee.
Room amenities are a little dated, Even though it's a non-smoking room, I can still smell some smoke.
All the staff are very friendly. They can prepare a takeaway breakfast if you leave the hotel before breakfast time.

Personel recepcji, na czele z fantastyczną Chiarą. Niektórzy pracownicy baru, restauracji i kuchni są wściekli i bardzo niegrzeczni.
Pierwszego dnia zapytaliśmy o dania wegetariańskie. Menu zawierało jedno danie z makaronem lub sałatkę, które było na przystawkę i danie główne. Zapytaliśmy, czy można przygotować jakieś inne dania i powiedzieliśmy „nie”, to jest restauracja rybna! Jedliśmy gdzie indziej, a kiedy wróciliśmy, restauracja była pusta dla klientów. Jaka szkoda.
Następnego dnia przyjechaliśmy na śniadanie 30 minut przed zamknięciem, aby powiedzieć, że nie ma sera, ponieważ szef kuchni dał im tylko jedną tacę z serem. Po tym, jak nalegaliśmy, żeby przygotowali więcej, usłyszeliśmy, jak szef kuchni wysadza członka personelu restauracji. To wyjaśnia niektóre doskonałe oceny i niektóre słabe oceny tego hotelu. Nie to, czego oczekujesz od hotelu 4 *, a nie relaksująca przerwa, na którą czekaliśmy.

a very unique hotel. Excellent location - near the sea bus to Venice and Murano and in front of the lovely center of the Lido. The staff was kind and efficient . Marta and Nicolo at the reception were exceptionally helpful and what ever was needed to solve a problem I had with the ferry’s company. I will highly recommend this hotel to my friends.

Excellent location for visiting the Biennale... regular, fast boat services to all destinations and airport within 5 mins from the hotel. Super friendly staff, and great views and setting for breakfast, dining or just watching the sunset

What a beautiful hotel. This is my 4th time staying in Venice and Lido Island was a very pleasant surprize. Away from the crowds but lots of great restaurants and bars - including those at this hotel. The breakfast buffet was top notch - good selection of food along with prosecco and juice - very civilized! Villa Laguna boasts great staff, very comfortable rooms, and fantastic food. You will love it!

From booking this trip direct via the hotel website ( best prices guaranteed ) the whole experience has been outstanding. Nothing has been too much trouble from booking private transfers to & from the hotel, also private trips from from the hotels private dock with you own water taxi which is like a limousine on water, they take you wherever you want to go, drop you off and pick you up 3 hours later ( your choice ) then drop you back off at the hotel. We stayed in a suite with a balcony and a lagoon view which had the best sunset on the Lido. A big shout out to Marta & Nicolo absolute legends who organised all of our trips, even rearranging our private transfer from the airport when we missed our connecting flight.

We had a balcony suite - 104 (good views) The hotel was very friendly and the suites well prepared and equipped. The hotel is extremely well positioned for the water taxi station and for a wide range of restaurants and shops/ cafes. I would recommend this hotel and to stay on Lido if you are visiting Venice. It’s also about 1 mile to a wide sandy public beach if you like a bit of both beach and city break. The shower wasn’t perfect (shower curtain over a plain glass window so you had to be careful when showering). Also we had a super king bed rather than 2 singles - we came away as friends, one sometimes sleeping on the couch! The air con rattled and didn’t always work but it is an old hotel. The breakfast was superb but the evening menu quite expensive and limited so we chose to eat out after the first evening.
