We stayed 4 nights in April in a 'Superior Mare' room, with a good view from the balcony towards the 'pool and bay. The pool wasn't yet open, until early May, but we could see it would be great to have. Breakfasts were really good & substantial, and all the staff were friendly and really helpful, from the desk to the dining-room. It was great to come back to Vico Equense after a crowded Sorrento..the station is only about 3 minutes walk, and we used the Curreiri bus to/from the hotel for Naples airport..stop about 50 metres up the road opposite the Curreiri office. We would certainly stay here again!

Friendly staff, great facility, beautiful swimming pool and enough sun loungers for us all! views across to vesuvius, great stuff we were a large group so the menu was set for us - some days the food was great, some I was less sure, but that was the only reason it's not scored 5 with me

Stayed here for two nights. Beautiful location. Stunning views of the sea and Vesuvius — very nice for sipping on a glass of wine as the sun sets. Right in the centre of Vico and a three-minute walk from the station, providing easy access to Sorrento and Pompei/Herculaneum/Napoli. I would’ve given it 5* but the room we got was very dated, although I did go for the cheapest room available. Another drawback was the lack of a proper window - we had one frosted window which, when opened, overlooked a flat roof which wasn’t especially clean. The room was quite dark and dingy. I think many of the rooms have been refurbished and they are probably a lot nicer (they certainly look it in the pictures). Can’t fault the staff. Pool was very nice too. Didn’t eat here in the evening but the breakfast was sufficient. All in all, I would stay here again, although probably not in the same room.

Hotel was great, perfect location in Vico Equense. The staff from front desk, restaurant, bar and cleaners were so friendly and helpful, couldn’t do enough for us. We were a party of 7 and stayed with four rooms. Walking distance to bars, restaurants and tye train station.

We came to the Aequa Hotel on the recommendation of friends who have stayed countless times here and our experience exceeded our expectations. This peaceful, comfortable hotel offers a warm welcome in the best Italian tradition. Vico is a lively, authentic town and staying at Aequa is a much better option than than touristy Sorrento; after a busy day sightseeing, it was heaven to sit on the terrace and enjoy the panorama of the Bay of Naples. The hotel is conveniently placed very near the Vesuviana station and lots of good restaurants, including the excellent Tito's right opposite the hotel entrance. But what really makes the hotel special are the staff, who are friendly and helpful, with a genuine wish that guests have a wonderful time - nothing is too much trouble. In particular, Giacomo was the epitome of kindness, doing everything he could to make our stay enjoyable and Antonio looked after us so well, even remembering our tea preferences. The breakfast buffet is excellent, with a varied choice of hot and cold items and we had a very good dinner in the restaurant. Room 431 is highly recommended, with its huge terrace commanding an incredible view across the sea to Vesuvius (see the photo). We recommend the hotel very warmly indeed - thank you all so much and we hope to stay with you again one day.

Got a dirty room with dirty toilet , very disappointed. They told us they are fully booked and can’t do anything about it and we can leave!!!!
Mountain view is not a mountain view, don’t be fooled by the lables.

Fantastic Hotel with superb staff. Absolutely brilliant swimming pool which was great for us and the kids. Breakfast was very good with a great choice. Reception, restaurant and pool staff were all friendly and accomodating. See you next year Hotel Aequa!!!!!

Quite surprised this is a 4* hotel. The rooms were really cheap and there was a weird smell in our bathroom. Breakfast was not much to have, some sweets and yoghurt.
The location of the hotel was great. But there are cheaper 3* alternatives around the area with better standards.

The breakfast service was great, rooms cleaned everyday reasonably priced and all the staff are pleasant and willing to help, the pool also cleansed each evening and our view from the room was outstanding
