Upon arrival i was told by the very rude front desk person i would have to pay the taxes because i didnt appear as a tourist "in their system". I told the man i had entered the country to visit as a tourist that is impossible. It was my 4th day in the country and i had stayed in other hotels and was never told this. He didnt care and in a very condecending manner told me i had to pay. Well i did and later while looking at my passport i see the immigration stamp with the letters RT which is the tourist permit. I go back down show it to another rude and condecending front desk person and he tells me hmmm i wonder how that got there because my coworker told me he had not seen that. I asked him sir are you implying i am trying to somehow cheat you?? Most ridiculous thing ive ever encountered in my many years of travel around the world. Reluctantly they reimbursed my tax payment. Would strongly recommed you stay at Hotel Estelar down the road much nicer place and infinitely better service. My friend who lives there told them they should be ashamed and that she will make sure to never have anyone visiting stay there again!!!

I had a wonderful stay at the GHL Hotel Grand Villavicencio. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, and the room was spacious, cozy and comfortable. The air conditioning was efficient and much needed in this hot region of Colombia. Parking was easy and hassle-free. Breakfast was delicious and served on the top floor with panoramic views of the city. The staff were friendly and spoke good English. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Villavicencio.

Aside for the rooms, there was no air condition. Eating and walking to and from my room was complete torture as I was dripping sweat.
The staff was very invasive to peoples personal life. Staring non stop and hawking my every conversion and simple social time. Having a guest to visit me and not even stay overnight was like bloody murder. I stayed alone all the way in a different country so my friend who
moved there from America would come and visit me.

A good hotel in the middle of town with good facilities and close to major shopping malls.
Good price for it's category and good service.

Upstairs, there’s a swimming pool in the dining area. Food is amazing. I do not exaggerate of eating in four and five star restaurants in many places of the world. The service, the presentation, quality of the food and its preparation. Excellent. It’s beautiful up on the roof of the swimming pool. Very enjoyable to have a spa. It’s a great place.

The hotel presents itself well at first, until you get into the room.
I had gotten a balcony suite and oh my god the horror that the room was. almost 0 light, horrible mattress and pillows, towel that were either overused and broken or dirty, the balcony facing on a horrible warehouse looking building and all dirty. Definitely would not go back

Everything is excellent in this special place. We felt like at home. Employees are amazing taking care of the most minimum detail. Super clean, food is delicious, hotel in general is quiet, safe surrounding, Primavera Mall is one the best in Villavicencio.
