We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Gateway Hotel, Vizag. The property is right across the beach and has an amazing view from the restaurant & bar. This property is 30+ yrs old but location is something to die for...Rooms are comfortable, breakfast spread is good. The best thing about this hotel is the Happy Hours which offers BUY1GET1 at Lawson Lounge until 10 pm. The staff is hospitable, they arranged a special table for us overlooking the sea. At the restaurant, staff accommodated our special request for kids food. The best thing I liked about the hotel was it's transparency. Right at the check-out counter, they have placed a placard stating 5% service charge is optional and u can claim it back. Most hotels hide this information while here we have a hotel that is vocal about it...thoroughly loved it! Areas of improvement: Bathrooms are dimly lit, clothes hanging hook is above the toilet seat which makes it unusable. Note: This property does not have a private beach

The Hotel was good but not as per TAJ brand standards. Building is old and next to the beach. Staff behaviors were good and food and restaurants were also up to the mark. Over all its a decent place to stay. I don't have much to say for it but since we have to write minimum 200 letters so I am wring these lines :)

With a great expectation, I have booked the room but came out sadly. Staff told there are no Telugu channels in TV. Food in restaurant is poor, one can’t expect that type from a star hotel. Receiving is good. If you my frank opinion, my experience in your hotel is like a small hotel.

My weekend stay at the gateway was great experience and the staff was great with hospitality. Starting with welcome tilak to check out process everything was smooth and happy. The food at Ming garden and breakfast was also lived upto the mark. I need to say special thanks to these persons, Srijan, Toshna and others making my stay at e gateway a memorable one.

Good experience , enjoyed a lot, nice family vacation for us enjoyed with kids for 15 th wedding anniversary. Beautiful hotel and courtesy of staff is well. Pool is clean and hygiene.overall very good experience. Must visit any Taj group definitely
