Hotele niedaleko Roompot Strandpark Zeeland, Vlissingen

Unfortunately, this is the worst hotel for service and value we have ever stayed in and we travel a lot for business and pleasure. We booked a luxury double room with sea view and balcony. It was not cheap. My husband had stayed at this hotel before, under the previous owners, but only had a double rear facing room. He said his room was better than our luxury double. It looked nothing like the photo on the website. We queried this and were then offered another room. However, the air conditioning was shocking. The Manager tried to clean the filter in our sink when he realised there was an issue with it. No offer to change room though. You are given 1 medium towel each and a flannel. We asked for more towels and we were given 2 but they were removed the next day by the housekeepers and not returned. You are given 1 shower gel in the shower and at the sink. No shampoo, conditioner etc is provided. The room was not luxurious and it was not a cheap room - very overpriced. The breakfast is fine if you like bread and pastries but the offer of a cooked breakfast was very poor - overcooked and dry. We hired bikes which only worked intermittently until we realised they had not connected the battery correctly. We had to pay an extra 50 euros to check out at 1pm and then were locked out of our room at 12pm so had to go down and get the key reinstated. The girls on the front desk were not helpful or good at customer service bar the girl studying for her business degree. She will go far. We broke a glass and told reception first thing in the morning to tell the housekeeper. When re returned the bedroom had been cleaned but the glass left all over the floor. It was this girl that took the time and effort to bring a vacuum up and clean it as the housekeepers had already left for the day. Our last night in Vlissingen we stayed at De Gevangentoren Suite for a very similar price but the luxury of that place is amazing. The difference between the 2 was astonishing We could not fault it. If you want to stay in Vlissingen then choose to stay there and not the Fletcher Hotel which is overpriced and very disappointing.

The hotel is located in a nice street in Vlissingen, park is enough nearby, but just a minute before the hotel arrange a parking card. Attractions of Vlissingen walking distance Friendly staff Breakfast is very diverse, also fine! We were sleeping in the family room, with another family room next to us, in the other room next to us we had a family with young children who were not in their interests, then the rooms were too responsive, this was very annoying for my family. ( this was in the evening when everyone goes to sleep) The hotel is certainly a recommender for you if you want to stay in Vlissingen

We waren met 3 koppels op fiets 3 daagse. Heel leuke locatie, mooi uitzicht ! Mooie ruime kamers met zicht op het Veerse meer, uniek .... maar niet netjes gepoetst , bad was nog vettig van vorige bezoeker (we zijn dan maar dreft en sponsjes gaan kopen om het deftig te reiningen) . Vrienden van ons sliepen op een kamer waar de matras volledig doorgezakt was, de hele nacht geen oog dicht gedaan , als we de dag nadien naar een andere matras vroegen gingen ze kijken wat ze konden doen .... nisk dus ! Bij het ontbijt waren het witte en bruine brood heel leker . Dekleine broodjes waren voorgebakken en veel te hard . Weinig variatie in vers fruit. Bij het onthaal de 1ste dag en bij het uitchecken te laatste dag hadden we een vriendelijke dame maar daar tussenin dames die er niet veel zin in hadden. Het personeel hangt maar wat rond .... waar we gewoon zijn van in Zeeland altijd heel vriendelijk ontvangen en bediend te worden was het nu heel wat minder. Goede parking en goede berging voor de fietsen . Jammer dat een hotel met zo mooie kamers en locatie niet meer energie steekt om alles tip top in orde te brengen.
