We spent one night only and it was the perfect location in the center of Vulcano, close to the shops, the port and the start of the trail to the crater. Our room was very clean and gave on the very cute porch of the hotel. The owner was extremely friendly and welcoming, and we had a nice chat with him. He recommended a couple of places for us to have dinner. We were not rushed to check-out after we came back from our morning hike the next day. A great place to stay, in my opinion.

Excellent location. The owners were really helpful. They gave us any information we needed. The breakfasts were fantastic. We had three kids that were stuffed after it. Some of the outdoor seating is also really nice upstairs or downstairs. We brought our own lunch there one day and it was no problem. Thanks Pensione La Giara for a wonderful stay.

We spent 1 night on Vulcano in the really nice Pensione La Giara. It is conveniently situated on a relatively quiet street on a little over 5 min walk from the port, and on route to the path ascending to the vulcano.
We were in two neighbouring bedrooms with shared bathroom for both rooms, which was perfect for our family of four.
The owner on arrival advised on the trip up the vulcano and on nearby restaurants.
Since we were leaving with an early ferry, the (very nice) breakfast was opened a bit earlier especially for us. Great experience!

Manfredi nous a accueilli très chaleureusement avec une attention toute particulière. Les chambres étaient propres et confortables dans une petite rue tranquille, pas loin des boues (fermées) et du chemin menant su cratère (1 heure de marche pour un non marcheur comme moi). Nous avons beaucoup aimé.

Dopo esserci stato due volte per lavoro anni fa, ci sono tornato in vacanza. Ottima posizione per la salita al cratere, vicino al porto e al centro pedonale. Bella la colazione in terrazza, non perdetevi i cornetti. Molto gentile il personale.

Sono stata con la mia famiglia in questa centralissima struttura a pochi passi dal porto e dai locali...Camere pulite e terrazzino fantastico!! La professionalità e la gentilezza di Manfredi e Nadia fanno della struttura il loro punto di forza.

La giara è tutto quello che stavamo cercando e che non lasceremo piu! Potrete scegliere di soggiornare nell’edificio principale con prima colazione sul terrazzo oppure al residence a meno di 100 metri di distanza. Abbiamo provato tutte le sistemazioni negli anni e siamo restati ammaliati dal residence! Camere ampie e spaziose, aria condizionata e ventilatore a pala, terrazzo privato o veranda a seconda della sistemazione scelta. Manfredi e la sua compagna sono ospiti discreti e attenti: al mattino vi aspettano con una colazione abbondante servita in terrazzo dominato dal vulcano. Sono persone splendide che sapranno consigliarvi su escursioni, ristoranti ed esperienze da vivere a Vulcano. Questo posto vi prenderà il cuore e non potrete fare a meno di tornare ❤️

Ottima posizione:raggiungibile a piedi dal porto e a due passi dalle principali attrazioni dell'isola. Noi avevamo due stanze grandi con letti matrimoniali e un grande bagno,zanzariere, aria condizionata e ventola. Comodo un piccolo frigorifero (più grande della media di quelli da hotel) per mantenere le cose in fresco, uno stendibiancheria nel terrazzino esterno comodo per stendere asciugamani e costumi. Colazione viene servita in una confortevole terrazza panoramica con proposte (cornetti, torte) dalle pasticcerie locali. Staff estremamente gentile e disponibile. L'unica pecca non c'erano sufficienti attacchini per gli asciugamani da bagno e mancava la parte salata della colazione. Consigliato.
