Always clean and tidy rooms bar well stocked and taxis very quick

Excellent hotel facilities and friendly staff.
Downside was uncomfortable bed settee for our 12 year old son, hard pillows, windows you couldn’t open fully and automated check in system.

1 star too many!
I paid for the hotel a few days ago. I turned up at the hotel at 10pm last night to check in for my one night stay, the man on reception was clicking away on his computer and said nothing to me. His 2 colleagues then came, more clicking around and no speaking then they said we've just booked you in at Holiday Inn across the road!
I asked why to be told they have no rooms available. Blaming a system error.
Due to it being 2230 and being tired by now I just went across the road who only had a twin room for me even though I'd paid a double at Village.
Village will not give a full refund as I accepted their offer, even though they paid for the hotel across the street without asking me.
Unbelievable service, don't risk coming here!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Not much in way dining options and what was available was quite expensive.
Some minor cleaning problems with the room but nothing we couldn’t overcome, I wasn’t able to connect my phone to the tv due to some technical issues, but overall a nice stay.
The sauna was under repair at the time but the other facilities were available and clean.

Nothing wrong with the hotel itself, clean and tidy enough, room ok.
Service a complete mixed bag - met at the 'modern' self check type service that is not an enjoyable experience. The lady grunting and pointing her figure, obviously completely bored with her lot, is really in need of some customer service training. The exact opposite at check out, lovely lady, friendly charming and helpful.
Restaurant/grill - poor and expensive - go out to somewhere else, even KFC is an upgrade an 2mins walk across the car park. Unlikely to return

Our floor people were smoking cigarettes and was loud trying to get into our room ext it was not a good experience so we checked out early
