I made the reservation through Priceline and from the description, the rooms looked okay. I trusted Priceline not to steer me wrong. The place is located away from the highway/town in the middle of apartment buildings. I had the hotel phone number and tried to call for directions--my gps couldn't locate the place. No one answered and I got a message that the mailbox was full. When I found the place, no one was around. I rang, called out, and after a while a young man appeared. He then insisted I pay again even though I paid Priceline. Plus, I had to pay a $20 deposit. I was alone. He kept asking me if I had pets or guests. I kept telling him no. Then he charged me 3% extra for using my credit card. Is that legal? So, the price ended up being almost thirty bucks more than the online quote. And that is just the good part of the review. If I hadn't been so tired, I would have sacrificed the charges and went somewhere else. The parking lot looked like the dark side of the moon, the pool looked like a hideous tar pit, and the entire building reeked of cigarette, even though I asked for a non-smoking room. Oh, and did I mention the TV didn't work? I could have had a working telly if I was willing to haul my baggage up steps. I chose no television. I write novels and horror short stories. I have a whole lot of new fuel for some future stories.
