Grand Hyatt Washington

This was definitely a great stay. The establishment is modern, clean with very helpful staff. It is located in the heart of things. Museums, and great places to eat are close by if you want to get out and about. If not, the food is excellent in-house.

The hotel is comfortable and spacious, with the elegance of an old-fashioned hotel. The breakfast is freshly made and delicious. Go to the central grassland, the core attraction, and the White House can be reached on foot. Two blocks away is Chinatown, which is convenient for eating. Macy's and various famous stores are not far away. One stop for all requirements. The only downside is that there is a humming in the ventilation duct that is facing, it must be replaced.
JW Marriott Washington, DC
4.2/5119 opinii
Penn Quarter
The location of the hotel is excellent, the room is small. Walk to the White House, the Washington Monument is very close, the front desk service is great, and late check-out is also given. Breakfast was mediocre with one unpleasant hiccup. The biggest advantage is the location, others lackluster.
Washington Marriott at Metro Center

I was in D.C. for a conference and stayed for 4 nights. My mother came to visit and we were blown away by the incredible hospitality of the staff at the Marriott Metro Center! Ebony at the valet station was incredibly lovely and helpful, as was Neville, Trey, and Kali. They helped us find a room on the 10th floor away from the construction (which is now happening in the lobby and fitness center area) and I was able to work on Zoom without any issues. The location is superb and we appreciated the Starbucks downstairs and the delicious salads at the hotel restaurant. The people were simply the best. We will be back!
Kimpton Hotel Monaco Washington DC, an IHG Hotel

I had originally booked the Kimpton Hotel George and was relocated to this property by management due to construction the day before we were set to arrive. I was reassured this was a great, comparable property in a better location. Unfortunately, the stay was disappointing. Pro: Location. Cons: Things kept breaking. Day 1: the shower knob broke off in my hand with a simple turn. Day 2: hairdryer stopped working after 1 minute of use. Day 3: Light fixture in bathroom stopped working. Not a 4 star experience. The rooms are tiny, dark and claustrophobic. The bathroom toilet in the standard room is literally 4 feet from the edge of the bed. Not conducive to a romantic getaway with your partner. I’m not picky about rooms but it was like sleeping in a closet all weekend. Restaurant staff were rude and the food was over priced. We ate at Dirty Habit twice during our stay for the convenience. While the food was good, the service is not. The bartender was abrupt and condescending when asked a simple question about a drink. I would not recommend staying here.
Conrad Washington DC

Penn Quarter
In summary it’s a pleasant, very well-located hotel, and FOH staff work hard to keep customers happy. But poor fit and finish in rooms, chaotic housekeeping, billing issues, and slow customer support aren’t in keeping with the luxury positioning. In depth: Reception staff were superb: friendly, helpful, professional, and a surprise upgrade to a suite was most welcome. The restaurant is also very good and its staff, while occasionally overattentive, do a good job. Location couldn’t be much better for easy walks to a plethora of DC’s sights, museums, restaurants, shops, and transport. The rooms lack a luxury look and feel. They’re spacious and afford impressive views, but blandly and sp****ly furnished in a way that feels very cost conscious. Sound insulation is poor, to the extent that conversations and TVs in neighbouring rooms are clearly audible, as is street noise during peak times. Water pressure is extremely low, so the rain shower is rather more like soft drizzle . As with other Hilton hotels since the pandemic, there’s no minibar, no menus, no guest directory. It all feels rather spartan. Housekeeping is poor. Carpets and soft furnishings seemed grubby. The sofa, in particular, had several stains that looked like they could be removed if anyone cared to try. Clean glasses placed in the room had lip marks on the rim. Our coffee supplies were often not replenished. The second time we mentioned it, on returning to our room, we found two plastic bags stuffed with coffee, sugar, and cream dumped on the table — a distinct “here, stop bothering us” vibe. The breakfast, though very nice, is costly if you’re not getting the Food & Beverage Credit. There’s no end of alternatives nearby. There’s an obligatory 25% tip plus $5 delivery on room service. Laundry costs are such that I found it more cost effective to simply buy some extra clothes. Finally, our Food & Beverage Credit wasn’t applied to our bill. Hilton don’t answer replies to your receipt, so you have to fuss with corporate contact centres, chatbots and web forms. Took nearly a week to get a response, though to their credit they cleared our food bill as a goodwill gesture.
