Roompot Weerterbergen

The park was okay as a place to stay, but I have had too many nasty surprises for me to give this park a higher rating, especially when the price point is this high. I booked with a small group that was going to stay a week and leave on a Wednesday. We were planning to book a few months in advance. The website said that everything was available during that date. However, after the park received some of the first bookings, they silently changed their available dates and disallowed ending your booking on the planned date, because there is a national holiday the day afterwards that I guess they didn't want to deal with. So those people were now stuck with the extra days in their booking, but no one else in the group could book that day! They were allowed to shorten the booking to Monday, but they would not get any of their money back for doing so because of Roompot policies, so there was no point in doing that. Moving the booking to an earlier date cost money too. Essentially the park bait and switched us because of a minor holiday that doesn't even happen on the booked dates. Off to a good start! We got the keycards to enter the parking lot and to enter the house in the mail a week before. When we arrived at the park, some of the keycards didn't work, and we were forced to park our cars outside and walk to the reception instead. Turns out they had forgotten to activate the keycards, they gave us new ones and that was sorted pretty quick. That would have been no problem, but they made another mistake and the keycards expired a couple days early, which means people were suddenly trapped outside the house without their possessions and couldn't park their cars inside the park anymore. When we arrived at the home, the beds were not made. We specifically paid extra money for the advertised bed-making service. They refused, saying that the sheets were there and that they don't offer bed-making services in those packages, despite what the website said. We also had to go back again because they forgot to give us one of the pillows. Half the TV's in the park are broken. The backlight LED's are broken which makes the entire screen tinted purple. To clarify, we saw this at multiple houses and it was very obviously a hardware issue that was not solved by resetting the settings. The TV's were fine besides that, but the completely discolored picture was a shame. I think what surprised me the most about the homes, is that there are absolutely no fences or hedges between the houses at all. Even between the more "luxury" villas, you are basically staring your neighbors in the face. No privacy in the yards at all so you can see and hear everything, and the houses are maybe 4 meters apart tops. On top of that, even the 10-man "villa" we stayed in had absolutely no washing machine. You can only get your clothes washed at the reception by giving a bag with your dirty clothes to the reception between 9-10 AM and then getting it back later in the day at a similarly

The houses have been given an upgrade inside which is nice. However, some genius made the decision to get rid of all the bbq’s which we previously enjoyed. Had we been told in advance of this we would have brought our own! Do not understand the logic of that as it encourages the use of disposable ones which are bad for the environment and can cause fires. Also, the biggest issue is that the outdoor pool, the main attraction to the park is closed! It is a building site. Needless to say another rubbish decision, why not undertake the work in the winter? Again, had we been told we would have booked elsewhere! To top it off, I just wanted to relax by the side of the pool on a sunlounger, so asked at reception if it would be possible to deliver one of the dozens of stacked up sunloungers out of the building site to our bungalow, the answer was no. No reason given, just too much trouble I guess. Considering putting one of the mattresses we aren’t using out there instead, not very good customer service! On the plus side, centreparks is a couple of hours away towards the coast, they have a jacuzzi bath and sauna, we’ll stay longer there next time and miss out roompot. It’s a shame as we have been a couple of times in the past and really enjoyed it here.

Context: big group not in a family. The floors were appallingly dirty, the shower couldn’t be called a shower due to the lack of shower head - instead a long tube. Very weird. Plenty of amenities but all must be paid for, swimming pool was rowdy and unhygienic and they were refusing to rent bikes to our group due to a previous incident with a completely different group! Only saving grace was the shop, which provided everything we needed, albeit at a fairly high cost which surprised many members of our group. We would have appreciated towels ie hand towels in the bathroom.

I'm only giving this a star as I had to leave at least one star otherwise it would be a zero! I'm not sure what the health and hygiene standards for holiday parks are in The Netherlands but this was truly shocking. The lodges were dirty and cold. The facilities were tired and shabby. The showers hardly had any water pressure. There was a large group of us staying in the lodges and we all ate in the buffet restaurant both nights we were there. Half of our party were violently ill. Please just read this and think before you book this place. Hygiene standards are really poor here.

This business must be going downhill. The house we were in was relatively new, was not very clean to say the least. The shower was disappointing and the water was going everywhere. The pool facility is old but everything works the poolbar however looked closed and very poor! Overall everything is average and I think going downhill. The kids paradise is ok but the smell in the building is a bit weird. Bowling was fun and they have a nice fishing lake.

Weertebergen. Een groot Roompot bungalowpark. De trieste aanblik van de huisjes die al zo'n 40 jaar staan wordt je niet vrolijk van. De inrichting is wat jonger maar niet luxe. Maar wel compleet. Het park is n kinder speelparadijs. De omgevingbied voldoende wandel en fiets mogelijkheden. Om te zorgen dat je niet afvalt kun je dagelijks n bezoek brengen aan bakker Vries. Alles wat je daar koopt is smerig.... lekker.

Wij verbleven in de gestylede cottage voor 6 personen (nr 323) met een gezin van 2 volwassenen, 1 baby (6m), 1 peuter (2j) en 1 kleuter (5j). Het huisje is netjes en mooi afgewerkt. Er is voldoende ruimte en alle faciliteiten (box, kinderstoel, bolderkar, ...) waren aanwezig. De badkamer is wel erg klein voor 6 personen, zeker wanneer je met twee gezinnen zou gaan en zou verblijven in 1 bungalow. Qua activiteiten is er wel ruimte voor verbetering. In het kinderbad stond geen glijbaantje of speeltuigje. Dit blijkt in onderhoud te zijn. Ik vond het zwembad niet erg netjes. Veel zand en viezigheid op de bodem. Er wordt gevraagd om de schoenen uit te doen voor men de kleedkamers ingaat, maar hier is geen controle op. Het zou ook handig zijn als er een schoenenrek wordt voorzien als men verwacht dat de schoenen worden uitgedaan... allesinds hielp deze maatregel niet om de kleedhokjes proper te houden. Deze waren echt heel erg vuil. Horecapersoneel en servicepointhostesses erg vriendelijk en snel. Dikke pluim voor hen. Kinderanimatie mag zeker meer uitnodigend zijn naar de kleintjes toe. De speeltoestellen zijn geschikt voor kinderen vanaf 3 a 4 jaar. Speeltuin aan de pizzeria is afgeleefd en staat op een onder water gelopen terrein. Het park heeft over het algmeen wel heel wat waterlast gehad. De grote buitenspeeltuin ook te nat. Wat boomschors zou kunnen helpen. Op de binnenspeeltuin waren de kids snel uitgekeken en 1 van de twee trampolines waren stuk. We hebben genoten van de gezinstijd maar er zijn heeeeel wat opportunities for improvement voor dit park.

Samen met 3 gezinnen in een 18 persoonshuisje. Deze zijn lekker groot. Genoeg ruimte voor iedereen. Genoeg badkamers en toiletten. Het zwembad is niet supergroot, maar was voor onze kinderen genoeg om zich even in te vermaken. De activiteiten zijn leuk geprijsd. in tegenstelling tot andere aanbieders van vakantiehuizen.

Brandschoon huisje (dank je wel Tatiana voor het schone fris ruikende huisje ❤️) We hebben gekozen voor een gerestyld wb comfort 4 pers, nummer 469. Dit huisje lag vrij achteraan op het park, flinke wandeling, maar voor ons geen probleem. De weg er naartoe is goed toegankelijk voor rolstoelgebruikers, ook het huisje is goed te betreden voor deze doelgroep. Park is autovrij, heerlijk voor de kinderen. Ze hebben lekker kunnen fietsen (deze hebben we gehuurd, ideaal). Hengeltje uitgooien, ravotten, zonder scheurende auto's om hun heen. Ook met de hond mooie wandelingen kunnen maken, bij huisje 422 kun je door de poort zo naar de Weerterheide. Binnen een minuut sta je echt in een prachtig wandelgebied. Voormalig militair oefenterrein. Misschien dat dit beter aangegeven kan worden, want ik kwam er per toeval achter... Gelukkig! Wat ik persoonlijk erg gaaf vond zijn de straaljagers die laag over het park vliegen... Stoere momentjes steeds. Als je een piepsmurf bent over dit soort geluiden, kun je beter een ander park boeken hahaha... Wij vonden het iig gaaf! Animatie genoeg, tip... Schrijf je kids meteen in voor de activiteiten de gehele vakantie, ze zijn snel volgeboekt. Zwembad was prima. Goede temperatuur wbt water. Leuke glijbaan en genoeg badmeesters die een oogje op het water houden. Wel mag er iets vaker even de waterslang/ schrobmachine door de kleedhokjes. Veel mensen hebben modder onder hun schoenen en dat zie je echt terug. Was elke dag echt zoeken naar een schoon hokje. Supermarkt, wat aan de dure kant, maar ze hebben alles. Heerlijk stokbrood!!! Snackbar, super lekkere friet, en wat een lieve gezellige dame die de bestelling opneemt. Al met al... Duimpjes omhoog voor jullie park. Wij komen hier zeker terug ❤️ Groetjes, Fam. de Wit-Kneepkens
