We visited wells and stopped here to have lunch. I very much enjoyed my food, and ate all that I could. The servers were professional and efficient. The food came quick compliments to Kitchen team. However, the green leaf used was extremely bitter! Warning. The water mugs could have used some cleaning way too much water stains.

Pros: Friendly and helpful staff Great location Good value Cons: Room was listed as having a shower, but instead was fitted with a bathtub right next to the bed. We had to ask to have our toilet paper refilled. The Wi-Fi did not reach our room for most of the trip until we had to request a booster. Radiators and towel rails were set to full blast in the corridor to our room and in our bathroom, which coincided badly with the week’s hot weather.

We recently stayed over for 2 nights. Overall, very enjoyable. Staff were excellent, we ate one night in the restaurant during our stay, service was very good as was the food and the environment. Just a couple of small *******. The ground floor rest rooms desperately need refurbishment, small, cramped and very very tired. Cooked breakfast was very good but cold breakfast could do with some more choice in the buffet. No marmalade, no yoghurts, nothing to speak of in the way of fresh fruit either. The bed wasn't as comfortable as some of the other coaching inns we have stayed at and the room could probably do with sprucing up a bit but despite the above we really loved the stay, the hotel is in an excellent position, all the staff were friendly and we would have no hesitation in staying again.

We have stayed at many of the Coaching Inns but were disappointed with our stay here. ° no Roberts radio in the room ° no hot water ° television didn't work ° my husband's first and then second choice of meal from the evening menu weren't available and when his 'third' choice came it was wrong and he had to wait 20 minutes for the right one to arrive whilst I ate mine ° 45 minute wait at breakfast

Premium room chosen. Shabby cheap. Mould on inside of outer sash window. Sash window. Cord broken on view. One handle missing on chest of drawers other than that room was clean with a lovely view of the Cathedral. Choice of pillows would be a good option as pillows supplied were too hard. Food was ok nothing speacil. Most of the staff were friendly and happy Hotel car park gets full quick not sure how far away you would have to park or cost if you can’t park in the hotel car park Hotel nicely situated in the city

We enjoyed an excellent one night stay at the Swan Hotel on 25th May. Our stay was made perfect by Steve and his team who were all very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The hotel facilities were good and the breakfast and set dinner menu exceptionally good.

Great hotel………. What a fab hotel, great location, amazing , helpful, professional staff and lovely rooms. Breakfast was outstanding with a good selection to choose from. We would definitely stay here again. Well done to the Swan Hotel 😊😊😊
