It was in a very scenic area, good views from our rear bedroom window. Ample room and TV with Kettle with tea and coffee, snacks and biscuits. The bed was very soft, but then I’m no lightweight! Was King Size so ample room for myself and my partner. The en suite had very creaky floorboards, as did the whole bedroom. Towels and flannels provided. Even toothbrushes in a sealed bag, soap and handwash. Thankfully, I had pre-requested a walk in shower as am disabled but didn’t realise the room was upstairs. About 12-14 very steep stairs. The couple who run it are very sweet, and explained everything in detail. Breakfast choices on a cardboard hanger to leave out by 9pm the night before. Full English, half English, toast, croissants, juices, tea, coffees and sauces in tap. The whole cottage with 3 or 4 rooms, was quiet at night, which is important. Parking was a bit tight. There are 3-4 spaces, which when we went to an Engagement party the night we stayed, returned at 11:35 and there wasn’t enough room to park outside the front door, so had to park under an apple tree. We did ask if they were considering expanding to include accessible rooms. They explained that the room near the front door (currently storage room) they were thinking of making into a room in the future. The road its in is very long, and its entrance is tucked away, thankfully they told us there was a flag at the entrance gate. We enjoyed it and would recommend it. The unfortunate thing was we were both very poorly by 7pm that night we returned to Kent. With very upset stomach’s and myself suffering projectile vomiting! We didn’t eat on our way home as were pretty full but happy to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it took a few days to return to normal eating unfortunately! Some nice touches in the breakfast room, some candles lit at night to add to the ambience and pretty ceiling decorations. Thank you Stef and Shaan.
