The York Hotel

A fantastic weekend 4 nights could not fault anything. Staff were brilliant nothing was too much trouble x . Room cosy and fresh . Shower beautifully hot . Breakfast unbearable . Dinner menu to die for and superb carvery on sunday plus full menu too . Thank you York hotel

A good value hotel with nice staff. Hotel itself could do with a bit of tlc. Some window handles missing and bad mastic around frames i presume to seal them shut. Our room was overall good although one of the sink cup holders broken and really should be removed for safety. Also really could do with a reseal around shower cubicle as very bad cracking all round. Overall a pleasant stay but if the hotel just spent a few quid improving things it would make all the difference.

Staff were very helpful, room was very clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast which was included in the price was enjoyable, definitely stay again .

This was an old property and very dated, no a**osphere ! But the property could not be faulted for its cleanliness. Breakfast was disappointing, as the food was pretty good but not very hot, And plates that were stacked in what looked like a plate warmer, was actually freezing cold, it looked like no one had turned it on. so of course the plates were freezing cold !!! Hence cold breakfast, other guests were complaining too. I booked what was supposedly to be a sea view room, What I had was a room facing a stone wall, it even blocked a lot of the light out. This could be a lovely place to stay if silly little things were looked after. I have been in the hospitality business for a long time and this beautiful place would not take a lot of thought to vastly improve it. Very young staff but very sweet and helpful, but lack training from senior management.

Always a lovely clean stay at the York. Beds getting a little uncomfortable though. Staff very polite and happy to chat. Food lovely and the Chris**as decorations are very nice.

Lovely little stay at the York Hotel in the family room. Rooms are a bit dated and nothing special but the beds we’re comfortable and clean. Nice hot shower so ideal for a stop over to watch the Weston Carnival with the family. Breakfast was nice, simple buffet style but nicely cooked. Staff were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again for a short stay.

Hotel was lovely and clean room was beautiful. The only downside the shower hanger was hanging off the wall and Luke warm water breakfast was beautifully, freshly cooked breakfast staff were extremely friendly and very very helpful

Staff were amazing. Room was clean and comfortable .and arranged well. We would definitely stay here again. X

Good basic hotel. Room was compact but had everything we needed for a one night stay. Tv was a little small. Wouldn’t have wanted to stay in this particular room for more than one night but people we were with had larger rooms. Breakfast was ok. Usual choices. Right on sea front so close to everything
