Westport Plaza Hotel, Spa & Leisure

We were in Castelbar for an appointment, when we were finished. We decided to go to Westport for a bit to eat. My suggested the restaurant in the plaza, so off we go. It was about 3pm when we got there, so weren’t sure what we’d get as it is that inn tweet time. When we went in there were only five others in. The young lady was pleasant enough. My friend had the prawns for starters which were very tasty, I had the chowder sadly it was tasteless, that said it can be hard to get a good chowder. For the main my friend had supreme of chicken which he enjoyed very much, I had the pork belly and it was delicious All in all a good experience, will be returning

We stayed in the Gold Experience Room, king-size bed, air conditioning , big bathroom, well the shower head fell off and dripping to the point of a wet floor. We put a towel down upon finding it. That part of our stay was a 5 out of 5. The issues arouse from parking, and a lack of Handicapped parking, and the response from hotel staff about where we could park when the parking lots were full. Lots were completely full, double parking and creative parking was happening everywhere among the two hotels, spa, and road, including the royndabout. The garages are small with limited signage, and cars were struggling to get turned around after driving through desperately seeking spots. We were told we could park somewhere twice by a hotel staff member, the same member of the staff at the desk on a Saturday night. He assured us it was safe and normal to park on the street where others were after mentioning we'd be asleep when some spaces might become available after the events at both hotels ended. We received a warning sticker on our car, as did others, later on, by management for parking outside of spots. When we attempted to explain, their employee is who directed and assured us it was fine. They interrupted and just wouldn't hear it. The parking situation alone will keep us from staying here again.

Amazing weekend in Westport. Room was big with a double bed and two singles so myself and my 3 sisters had plenty of room for 3 nights in the room. The bathroom was fabulous with a shower and jacuzzi bath. House keeping was brilliant with keeping the room spotless. Room had a balcony and was just across from the castle court, we slept sound with no disturbance from any other guests, the weddings on or the stag or hen dos that were around. The hotel is slap bang in the middle of westport and a very short walk to the lovely pubs and restaurants that make Westport night life great. The breakfast each morning was served in the restaurant and was fabulous. The hot breakfast was ordered at the table we had a range from the menu over the 3 days and each morning it was beautiful. The buffet was fully stocked and had plenty of choice. The staff in the hotel were amazing no matter what you looked for and were polite throughout the whole bank holiday weekend. I would recommend the plaza to anyone and am happy Ill be returning again next year for a wedding.

I had the most amazing time at the Westport Plaza Spa Sula. I opted for the Seaweed Body Buff and had an amazing job done by Victoria. I will definitely return to try some of the other treatments. I found the Spa very well managed and my whole process very peaceful and joyous.

Very good hotel - friendly and helpful staff especially at Reception. Ivett and Hussen in the Covey restaurant are great with kids. Great swimming pool also. Easy to access location in the town and close to loads of amenities. Highly recommended and would come again.

The Waiter with the name of Hussen was really nice and made lots of funny jokes. The room was nice and big with a okay view from the balkaney. The pool was lovely and warm and their was no issues at all with checking in. I would prefer some better sign's in the hotel.

I went to dinner with my family for my Grandads birthday celebration and got an amazing waiter called Emanuel that was so friendly and attentive all evening. He was very polite and patient with us throughout the dinner and served out an amazing meal to all 5 of us. Thank you for the amazing experience.

On our trip to Westport we had an evening meal in the Westport Plaza Coveys restaurant. We were not disappointed delish food at a reasonable price. We were served by Hussen who couldn’t have been more helpful. Excellent service! Would recommend!

We went for an indoor bowls week. The bedroom was newly renovated and the food was lovely especially for a Coeliac. All areas were clean and staff friendly. Special mention for Rino and Rachel in the spa area who made our trip more special. We'll be back
