Quality Inn & Suites

Made reservations 30 days before arrival. Spoke directly with the property personnel. Told them that I would have two pets. Upon arrival, front desk did not know about pets and told me that I could only stay in the old section of the motel which is under renovation. I could not have a king bed, which I reserved with pets. The room I was given was terrible. Broken furniture, broken and missing door locks, dirty bathroom. The dresser drawers would not stay shut. I used an ashtray under a front leg to prop the dresser back towards the wall to keep the drawers closed. One drawer was missing. I could go on and on. Until the renovation is complete or pets are allowed in the newer building I cannot recommend this property.

Do You like bugs jumping out of your bed? Blood on your sheets? The only positive was the night front desk person, the only person in the hotel at that time. She was helpful in getting fresh linen and helping us making the bed. She was apologetic but hey, she is just an employee. The place is simply worn out... crude wall patching, ripped lamp shades, worn out, age old carpeting etc... Breakfast? Uhh... When I asked if there was cream cheese for a bagel, I was told there was none because they were phasing out bagels. I asked for fruit, and I was told the only fruits are bananas, however they ran out of Bananas by 7:30. What else do you need to regret your choice of hotel?

Excellent place to stay. Easy on and off I-95. Breakfast included. No elevator if that’s important get first floor. Restaurant close by. Plenty of free parking Good value for the money. They have an outdoor pool but I did not use it so can’t comment

We had a terrible experience here. There are wild cats all over fighting throughout the night very loudly. The floor of our room was disgusting. My kids feet were black. The bathroom was so gross I couldn't let my kids shower. All that was nothing compared to the experience we had with housekeeping in the morning. At 9:20 we were packing up the car and the maid entered the room and yelled at us for the mess. We had plates from breakfast on the desk that we hadnt cleaned up yet but we were not done packing. We asked if she could wait outside the room while we do a final check for our belongings then we would be out of her hair she said no and started ripping sheets off the bed. I said please stop we want to check we didnt leave anything and we still have lots of time till check out. She yelled “too bad lady” and kept moving stuff in the room. My daughter was so scared she started crying so we just left. The only pro was the front desk people were very nice. I didnt get to tell them what happened because my daughter was screaming crying with anxiety and fear i just wanted to get out of there

Quality Inn of Wilson was chosen as a stopping point on our vacation trip down to South Carolina. We had done something similar two years ago, using this same hotel. The property is a two story facility, with one wing containing interior corridor rooms and the other with exterior-facing units. As typical of many older two story properties, there's no elevator. Our room for this trip was 110, an interior access room with two queen beds. Despite some newer furniture, this room was definitely showing its age, with uneven carpet, water stains on the shower handle, and overall wear and tear on surfaces like the walls. But it was clean, which is more important than some superficial cosmetic flaws here and there. Our in-room air conditioner was loud, waking us up whenever it roared to life. The sheer curtain was missing from our room, leaving only the thicker blackout curtain. Otherwise there were no major issues with the room. This particular location has returned to a full hot breakfast, and a 6:00AM start time for breakfast was much appreciated so we could get back on the road earlier. The property's exterior also showed signs of age, and curb appeal could be improved with a good power-washing and a fresh coat of paint. The room rate was $105 before taxes (including AAA discount) which seemed a bit high for the accommodations that were offered, but I suppose that's a consequence of being located on the busy I-95 travel corridor during summer months. Plus, this hotel strikes a nice balance between the cheap, questionable I-95 motels and the super-expensive newly built ones. It met our needs for a clean, comfortable overnight hotel off the interstate and we'd likely stay there again for that purpose. Quality Inn of Wilson is recommended if you don't mind a bit of age-related wear and tear. The hotel is kept clean and hot breakfast is a plus.

This is the hotel I usually stay at during my stopover on way to Disney. I stayed here using my reward points on the way back. Upon check in, no "welcome back", no gift. Thats been the norm now for members...whatever. Anyway, upon entry, our room had the A/C turned off (must be saving money, I see other reviewers had the same issue)--room was HOT HOT HOT on a very humid evening. We cranked the AC and headed for dinner. Room did not cool off until after midnight, and we were up at 5 am to head back to new england. Room was stuffy, not very clean, bathroom needs some updating...its just getting dated. I did notice that the bed really needed to be wiped down, the wood was very very dirty. Luckily it was just one night, but without some TLC, I will not be returning on my next trip.

The check in was easy, and my room was clean and just fine. What stood out was the helpfulness of the staff, which I don't necessarily expect from a budget hotel. Miranda checked me in, and she went above and beyond to welcome me. Then later I needed something printed. She said the business center wasn't working, but offered to print it herself. Then just as I was heading downstairs to see if she'd done it, she knocked at the door with my copies. She delivered them! The guy the next morning was very nice, too. With these budget hotels, having friendly helpful staff makes all the difference. No doubt I will stay there again.

It is pretty barebones, OK enough to get a good night sleep which was all we needed. It is on a VERY busy street, especially at Saturday night, dinner time. Glad we have a decent GPS. Bad situation .... generally needs repair to the room we occupied. The worst thing was the shower which had a repair to what may have been a deep and wide gash along one section of the bottom. It looked liked it had been repaired but the repair was still quite visible. We did not use the shower because of that ... did not feel like the surface repair would be wiped away. All we needed was a wash-up anyway. We were not taking any chances. There was a breakfast which was on the light side ... like prepared scrambled egg "circles"send the usual bread items to toast. Other items were there (e.g., yougurt, cereal, coffee, etc. It was actually worth the senior discount price that we paid (about $80 or so). I don't think we will book there again ... better off paying slightly more for a better accommodation.
