We were down in the area for a very sad funeral and the owner very kindly let us check in early, as we weren't sure what time we would be back to pick up the key. Our room was great, with tasteful modern decor. Breakfast was excellent with good quality ingredients and we would certainly stay at The Buttery in the future.

Friendly welcome from the owner when we arrived, who showed us up to our room before the official check in time as the room was ready. The room was lovely, warm, clean and comfortable and nicely decorated. We had lunch in the cafe downstairs, which set us up well for a stroll around Woodstock in the afternoon. Breakfast the next morning had a good choice, and then it was just a 2 minute drive over to Blenheim Palace for the day.

This is a great place to stay in lovely Woodstock. The room was cosy but toasty warm and very quiet. The hot water in the shower was excellent. A tasty breakfast (great eggs) and the front of house team were very friendly. Thank you - a firm recommendation.

A charming cafe with a good buzz and friendly service – my only complaint is about the all day breakfast – the fried eggs and mushrooms had a distinctly weird aftertaste, most likely due to the oil in which they were fried – rather spoiled the experience, hence the rating, otherwise would've been a solid four.

Lovely welcome upon checkin - ladies were so helpful - booked two rooms as visiting with friends for the Christmas event at Blenheim Palace . Perfect location for it , 10 mins walk to the gates . Breakfast was lovely with good choices . Rooms are quaint and tea/ coffee - water / biscuits provided which was welcomed . Clean , warm and comfy rooms - we will be back and I have recommended to other friends also . Perfect for the occasion.

Lovely cafe, nice coffee and lovely cakes. But no wifi! We were told that its reserved exclusively for guests staying at the hotel, which seemed a little strange, and disappointing - would have stayed longer.

Greeted by friendly staff. Room was very roomy and large bathroom. Beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices served by lovely ladies. Everything was excellent. Great stay.

Made to feel extremely welcome by Yvonne the manager. Nothing too much trouble. High quality breakfast we also had lunch there which was excellent as well. Beds and pillows so comfortable. Thanks again to Yvonne and the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.
