The breakfast was superb and the staff were excellent nothing was too much trouble. Excellent value for money paid for our stay.
Some of the carpets and decor in some areas needs updating but overall the quality of food and the staff at breakfast made our stay thank you

Beautiful hotel in a gorgeous location. Staff were very professional and attentive. Small hiccup with our evening meal, but the manager Greg, rectified this.
Bar staff Tom and Hannah, both deserve a medal! They were both amazing
Our room was stunning, a junior suite in the attic, it could not have been more perfect.
All in all, a very lovely stay, which we are keen to repeat soon.

The hotel is very tired behind the scenes needs a spruce up , some floors are very uneven , trying to eat my cooked breakfast was a chore trying to eat with table and char rocking trying not to spill the drinks , the bedroom was very tired and the bathroom wastes were really smelly and the room smelt damp/musty .

We thought Wortley Hall was an excellent place to stay, and the history of the building very interesting, The staff were very efficient and friendly, food excellent, bed in Room 19 very comfortable. Everything was cleaner than average. The bedroom windows had the original shutters which are perfect for keeping heat in and light out. There isn't bling here; just a lovely old house. Some windows need a coat of paint but everything that matters is there. Carpets etc in very good condition. Some of the furniture is slightly mismatched but it just adds to the character. There is a huge library. Don't be put off by the strangely low rating on trip advisor. Beautiful surroundings and view; we would recommend it all. Good value.

Wortley Hall is a stunning building in glorious grounds. The breakfast was good value with plenty choice and helpful staff. Inside the hall is like a maze and a bit rundown in places. Our room was bright clean and spacious and the bathroom was clean and the shower was good but what let it down was the bed it was hard and if you moved it was noisy and the pillows were old and lumpy.

Had an amazing weekend staying here just on a whim, witnessed 2 lovely wedding receptions and despite it being busy due to said events all staff and facilities were great. We originally planned to stay one night into Sunday but when the prospect of leaving came up over our delicious self service breakfast, we decided to stay an extra night and it was definitely worth it! The new attic rooms are beautiful if you can get them, not much of a view of course but there are plenty of views to be had outside on the grounds. We ate at the halls Ruddy Duck restaurant both nights as the local pub was closed for renovations and it did not disappoint, the burgers, sea bass and haddock were all amazing. 10/10 will definitely be returning later in the year!

Our favourite place to stay.perfect retreat and wonderful scenery.the staff are very friendly and kind and the food is excellent the building is a sight to behold..always look forward to returning.highly recommend..thanks to all the people who help run wortley hall

Customer service was very bad. The rooms were outdated and stains on the carpets. The food for a hotel of this standard was very poor. First night lovely menu only to find at 7.15pm they only had burgers. The next day spoke to the Manager and he said he would sort it but that never happen. Meal that evening waited over a hour then had to send it back because it was cold, for what it was it was over priced.
