Sofitel on Renmin Square Xi'an

Everything was perfect, from check in to check out. Andy at the concierge was helpful and gave us a lot of good recommendations.

Service was great, they upgraded our rooms. Room was clean and spacious, breakfast selection was also good (Western & Eastern options). Highly recommend to those visiting Xi’An!

We booked 2 rooms. When we arrive late at night, one of the rooms (2 single bed) was being cancelled which I do not understand what happened. So, we request them to give us a room, they said they got to find out what happened. But it was already near midnight. So, our tour guide told them to just find a room for us. We are given the last room of the level. When we checked into the room, there were insects flying around, which is bad. We did not feel comfortable but we have no choice as there were no other rooms. The next day we complained about the room and the hotel upgraded our room. Unfortunately, when we checked in late at night after our sightseeing, the door cannot be chained inside. we were asked to just lock the room without chaining, and they will repair tomorrow morning. We also realised that the toilet glass door was faulty. The glass door is only hooked from the top leaving the glass door very filmsy but we still can slide but got to be very careful. We complained the 3rd day morning on this concern and were told to change room again. My friend decided that we would not change room for the 2nd time again and so we just stayed with the filmsy toilet glass door till we checked out on 4th day. This is terrible experience for us. We hope that the hotel can do something about the rooms, especially the Suite rooms. This is the 1st time I met with such incident which can never be solved.

Above average hotel but not for the price. There are a few hotels nearby probably more bang for the bucks.

Fantastic hotel that has held up well despite COVID. English speaking for those who need it. Complimentary bed for our child. Wonderful.

The Sofitel staff is very kind and helpful, front desk personnel speaks nicely English and the coffee in the lobby bar is delicious - looking forward to my next stay :)

The hotel is good, but compared to the price there are some areas that could be improved. Some areas need renewal and the location is not the best, I'd look for something closer to the Bell Tower. I would anyways recommend is this is right on budget.

We loved staying at the Sofitel Renmin Square. Rooms very beautiful and very spacious. Staff was extremely kind and attentive (special thanks to William who was very helpful in finding restaurants and booking tours). Breakfast was fantastic and varied with both Western and Chinese options.

A nice place to stay for first time travellers in Xi’an. The team is friendly and Jack was very helpful. Rooms are of good sizes. Location is great - Not in the noisy part of the city but pretty close to everything. Some of the team members don’t speak English though… need to find the right person to talk to.
