After being beaten by various hotels and B&Bs along the way, I stayed in Xiahetian. Zhu International Hotel gives you the feeling of surviving a disaster and returning to civilized society. . This should be the best hotel in Xiahe, right? In addition, although there are several so-called ”wild luxury” hotels in Gannan, it is not recommended to stay in them. I have seen almost all of them along the way. The location is just like that, there is no exclusive view, the facilities are not good, and the price is extremely high. Before departure I originally wanted to experience a few of them, but I found that it was completely unnecessary. Gannan does not need to live in a scenic spot like Ili. You can enjoy the entire scenic spot to yourself in the evening and morning. The best scenery is on the road. . The hotel is very close to Labrang Monastery and you can walk there. It is of 4-5 star standard in terms of hardware and decoration. There are many hidden-style decorations. The room price of about 400 in the off-season is acceptable, and it also comes with breakfast. . The interior of the room is a relatively old-school business hotel configuration, but it doesn't feel very outdated. The double bed room is more than 30 square meters, with floor-to-ceiling windows. The view outside the window is not bad. There is a chaise bed by the window and a standard work desk. It is suitable for everyone during the journey. For me, who has to organize videos and photos at night, this is very important. . The room comes with free ice water and two bags of loose tea. The bathroom has a single basin and no bathtub. The shower room is okay for bathing. At least you don't have to worry about not having enough hot water. . The breakfast the next day was okay, the best among so many hotels in Gannan. The cold dishes included pig ears and chicken feet, at least there was meat. The hot dishes were all vegetarian, but it was necessary to add some green leafy vegetables. There were also a few The Chinese dim sum can fill your stomach. It seems strange that there is no freshly cooked noodles stall, but there is no problem if you are full. . Generally speaking, this hotel is convenient for traveling, has good hardware, and has no issues with hygiene. If you are in Xiahe, I recommend staying there.

This hotel & the nearby resort are owned & run by Dutch Clary and her Tibetan husband, both of which have been thoughtfully designed and decorated by the couple. The tapwater is drinkable, the hotel food had good Western options (banana & chocolate pancake for example) and the lobby bar is a nice place to relax with a huge library for guests to use. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the bed comfortable. We went to Nirvana resort for dinner which is an excellent option if you're not staying at the resort for the superb 360◎ views of the Sanke grasslands. Location is right beside Labrang monastery and Clary told us exactly how to find the trail over the mountains north of the town. Highly recommend.

Visited Labrang Monastery and stayed for another day. The hotel is located in the center of Xiahe City, only about 10 minutes walk from Labrang Monastery. Downstairs is the largest supermarket in the county. The transportation is convenient and the location is superior! The hotel room is spacious, the scenery is very good, the breakfast is full of local characteristics, the hotel restaurant is childlike, good quality and low price, strong Amway! The fly in the ointment is that some facilities in the room lack maintenance, the socket switch is not powered, the quilt and pillow are too hard, and the room does not have an air-conditioning fan, so I sweat all over at night. It will be better if it is improved!

The location is unbelievable. It was so peaceful, quiet, and stunning in every direction you look. The food in the restaurant was delicious and the breakfast was the best, although it’s not included in the stay. I had some trouble using the hot water so left without having a proper shower, which is something I got used to in that area. I can imagine it’s really tough to supply hot water out there (I stayed in more places than one and it was that way in all of them). The Nirvana cowboy who checks you in and greets you is lovely, and can provide any help you need. The room is warm, fantastic, and the hills feel wild and totally free for you to explore. 4G works no problem in the room. I would loved to have lived here for a week just soaking it in and resting my mind and soul. Thank you Nirvana resort!

It's just accommodation, it doesn't feel like a luxurious standard room, the interior windows, the hotel is still clean, the Tibetan boss is too old to be busy. Labrang Monastery is still a sacred place in the hearts of Tibetans, but it is generally open and relatively commercial. In summer, the temperature is very suitable, and it is convenient to eat around, and the price is fair.

I came here with the mentality of giving it a try, because the reviews were mixed. After coming here, I found that it was really good, far away from the hustle and bustle of the city, and it was the first time to live in a tent with my family in the prairie. The photo shoot is very special, it's really beautiful! The car can be driven to the side of the tent. The temperature difference between morning and evening on the grassland is large. There is floor heating in the tent. It feels great~ The only complaint is the food: Breakfast is 58/person, and a staple food only has one small bun and one small steamed bun, which is very perfunctory and is far from the menu. Porridge can only be called porridge~ The price of hot pot for dinner is also on the high side, 568 per serving, which is better than the appearance. There is no food nearby, so it can only be solved at the camp. However, if there is a chance, I will try it again~
