Hotele niedaleko Zao Onsen, Yamagata

The hotel itself is beautiful. Inside it looks like a small feodal castle. The room we had was spacious and beautiful. We come to the station on a shuttle (but it's really ready, just 5 minutes walk, attention it goes to the direction station-＞hotel). Kaheki is excellent. Japanese breakfast is only. Les senses sont très agréables mais ne proposent pas d'amnésie et vous n'avez droit qu'à une seule plaque de produit si bien que si vous y aller plusieurs fois, vous n'en avez plus. The team is very pleasant but speaks little English (for certain not at all). The boss is quite unpleasant, it's a pity because it's one of the last people you'll cross and it leaves a bit bitter taste. There have been several ryokans in Japan, in different regions (including Kyushu, Fuji, Nagano and Kyoto), and I think the price is too high compared to the average (no special view of whether rooms or hotels in themselves, no 'amneties, little of specific services...). The lack of proposals at Zao Onsen certainly pushes to put quite high rates but it's a pity...

An inn with a connection to poet Mokichi Saito. Waka poems written by the guests and locals are displayed, and there are *****s of paper and writing brushes in the room. The number of rooms is small, and meals can be served in private rooms. The furnishings and furnishings, and the tableware used for meals, etc., show a sense of commitment and taste. In particular, the cloudy, sulfur-scented hot springs while looking at the piled-up snow and the delicious, gentle-tasting dishes made with ingredients from Yamagata are pleasing to the eye and very satisfying. I was able to learn about the history and culture of Yamagata by receiving detailed answers to my questions about ingredients and other items. The shuttle service to the bus terminal and ropeway platform is also a nice service.

Japanese style tatami hotel. Old-fashioned room, more spacious. There are toilets and bathrooms in the room. There are also public indoor and outdoor hot springs. Similar to other traditional Japanese hotels. Because I came here for skiing, I just want to talk about the food and location in particular. Meals in Japanese-style hotels are fairly average. Sooner or later it is Japanese style. The Japanese breakfast has salad, cold fish pieces, and hot snacks, mainly rice and miso soup. Many Chinese are not used to it. Other Japanese-style hotels I have stayed in will have Japanese and Western-style options. Dinner is still Japanese, I have eaten three kinds, roast beef, too little, beef quality is average. The sukiyaki pot is generous and the beef taste is average. Hot pot means that the sukiyaki pot does not contain the sukiyaki sauce, and the dishes are exactly the same. The food is lacklustre. Location, although going out to cross a bridge is the snow field, down to the No. 3 and No. 31 cable cars. However, because of the lack of snow this time, the No. 29 cable car and the snow track were closed (this is the only way to slide back), so it is impossible to slide back. At the same time, because the No. 3 and No. 31 ski trails are relatively isolated, it doesn't make much sense to go out. So sliding in and out is actually not very good. Fortunately, the hotel is very convenient to use a car. It can take you to where you want to go at any time and pick you up at any time on the phone, so it is not a big problem. Walking down the hill from the hotel is the Lawson Supermarket, which is estimated to be only 300 meters away. When you come back, you should call a car to pick you up because the snow is uphill.

We arrived at Mt Zao in the middle of Our Epic Six Week Trip To Japan, during which we stayed in nine different hotels. This room was amongst my favourites. The staff largely didn't speak English and were not helpful. We had a stand off at the restaurant as we didn't understand that we couldn't dine at there without having made a booking far in advance. After this was explained,  there was no apology or suggestions for alternative dining options. There are limited dining options in Zao. We ate at the Soup Curry place one night and a cute sushi joint another night. On the last night we ended up getting an ebiken bento box from the local L****ns as nothing was open. We did book breakfast each morning and that was fantastic. Lots of Japanese and Western options and it seemed like the food had all been prepared onsite. The hotel is very pretty, with a lovely view of the forest from the lobby. There is a common room with free coffee, tea and ice creams. People were pretty friendly in there. The hotel is the furthest from the 'town' but the closest to the ski lift and to the 'sulfurous' onsen. The ski lift is about 50 metres from the hotel and the ride up and down is spectacular. I thought the onsen was top notch. The sulfurous onsen outside has milky water that is supposed to be good for your complexion. It was fun having an onsen with snow all around. We stayed in the Western style room - it was spacious and well appointed. Our little lounge area had a beautiful view of pine trees and lots of snow. There was also a similar view from the luxurious bath tub (but I didn't use that tub as the onsen was so good.) The beds in our room were very hard. Our room also had a massage chair which I used for hours a time. It was a bit of a trek getting to Mt Zao. The hotel staff weren't very helpful with organising buses but they did drop us off at the bus stop early in the morning and we were picked up on our day of arrival. I know that the staff weren't friendly to us because of the language barrier, which is a shame because everyone should enjoy this venue. I would stay here again for sure. Next time we'll book the dinner set. It did smell amazing ! --

久しぶりに山形に宿泊。選んだホテルが山形国際ホテルさん。じゃらんよりネット予約。1泊朝食付きのプランで5000円を下回る価格で宿泊出来ました。（クーポン割引があり）自家用車にて向かう。地下に駐車場があり便利。チェックイン後お部屋へ。少々トレンドとはかけ離れた感じ。（空調は、集中管理型など。）TV📺は小さめ、少々残念。手持ちタブレットでネット配信（DAZNなど）を楽しもうとするが、Wi-Fi環境があまり良くなく、途切れ途切れでした。しかしながら、朝食は素晴らしくおいしい。芋煮、ダシ、葡萄🍇、食菊、だだちゃ豆入りのオムライスなど山形を感じさせる料理が並び、カレー🍛も美味。 大手ホテルチェーンが進出している山形。応援したいホテルです。また伺います。

Prime location. Appreciate they gave us a small gift , as this is our honeymoon trip. There is convenient store at the lobby , reception is at 3rd floor. Room is spacious with massage chair. After hiking and skiing , that massage chair really help a lot on our back !! 😉 There is car park at this hotel, JPY 1000 per day. Walking distance to shopping mall , 100 yen shop , and a lot restaurant nearby

Conveniently attached to Yamagata JR Station, for easy access to Tokyo Shinkansen, as well as to daytrips to Ginzan Onsen and Zao Onsen Ski Resort. Our room was in the newer South Annex, comfortable and spacious. Hotel granted our room request and were attentive to our stated diet requirements. We chose Japanese breakfast set on both days and they were delicious, of excellent quality and good portions. We used one of the coin laundry machines on 2F, but wished there were more machines offered on different floors.

The inside of the room is in a state where you can clearly see the signs of repair after the wallpaper was torn, but the size of the room may be on the larger side for a single. The Super Hotel Group talks about LOHAS, so it seems like they are paying attention to the environment, but even though the breakfast buffet claims to be a healthy breakfast, I still don't know how healthy it is. The hot springs are open as much as you like from 3:00pm to 9:00am the next day, and although the bathrooms are not large, we enjoyed them to the fullest. Also, since the rooms are PIN-coded and there are no keys or cards, I think it's a good idea to be able to leave the room without having to go through any formalities when checking out.

It was a hotel directly connected to Yamagata Station. The weather was good on the day I stayed, the mountain 々 was clear at dusk, and I was able to see a beautiful moon at night. If you walk in front of the station, there are restaurants and supermarkets, so I think it's not troublesome to stay. There was also a convenience store on the １ floor. I would like to take care of you again when you go to Yamagata.

Really great service and good location, just 2 mins walking distance to Yamagata eki, all staff are polite and willing to help. Rooms are clean
