Outstanding boutique hotel situated in the most beautiful spot by the Yulong River with breathtaking views in all four directions! We like how the style of the hotel reflects and complements the natural beauty of the area. There are abundant amenities and plenty of activities to pursue just around the property. It’s perfect for people who want to enjoy the beautiful pristine Shanshui of Guilin uninterrupted. We travelled with our extended family of 7 and everybody had a great time (especially our 2yo). The hotel is very kids friendly and the staff are wonderful. The swimming pool is immaculate and well equipped. We were also happily surprised by the quality of the food provided at the hotel. The ingredients were local and super fresh and the beer fish was very tasty. We ended up eating most of our lunches and dinners at the hotel. The room itself is gorgeous. We woke up everyday bathing in the morning sun with unobstructed views of the breathtaking Shanshui along the Yulong river! If you wake up early and go to the top floor, you will be rewarded with a special bonus! We are already looking forward to our next trip to Yangshuo and Xishi Jinshe!

Extremely friendly staff and they definitely out preformed and went the extra miles to welcome their guests! The electric scooter rental is great and the price is also good. Location is beautiful, stunning, magnificent and breathtaking! You cannot go wrong with the view in this location and what this hotel has to offer you. There are also many attractions and view points in the location. Breakfast had a nice touch to it and you get a few options,mainly western but also their local noodle dish which you can have for breakfast a great way to experience a different culture. If you need to do laundry then they have the facilities for you to do so. Over all I would come back for sure.

Zdecydowanie wrócimy; jest bardzo dogodny do spływu bambusową tratwą po rzece Li, a do dyspozycji jest nawet szybki autobus kolejowy. Dzieciaki były zachwycone. Jedzenie było absolutnie pyszne. Wiele osób ma złe doświadczenia z jedzeniem w Yangshuo, ale my jedliśmy w naszym pensjonacie i było idealnie – tak pyszne, że nie mogliśmy się najeść! Na pewno zatrzymamy się tu ponownie następnym razem.

Ogólnie 3 punkty, bardzo dobra postawa pani z recepcji, co dało mi kilka punktów; Wady: 1. Brak izolacji akustycznej. Hałas na zewnątrz jest bardzo wyraźny w nocy. Wymagane są zatyczki do uszu. 2. Pokój ma nominalnie 38 metrów kwadratowych, ale w rzeczywistości jest trochę mały, prawdopodobnie ma tylko około 20 metrów kwadratowych; 3. Brakuje standardowych stołów i krzeseł, a te, które są, wydają się niepraktyczne; 4. Ogólny projekt hotelu jest raczej ciemny. Korytarz w holu jest całkowicie ciemny, tylko kilka świateł jest włączonych. W pokoju są tylko reflektory krawędziowe i lampki do czytania, a nie ma normalnego oświetlenia środkowego. Szczerze mówiąc, to tylko na West Street. Gdyby było trochę z dala od utartych szlaków, nie odważyłbym się tam zostać i po prostu odwróciłbym się i wyszedł.

The hotel advertises as having an all-year-round open pool and it's not true. During our stay at the end of April with maximum temperatures above 30°C there was no pool to cool off, and the staff told us it was because it was still too early in the year. This was very disappointing as having a pool was the main reason for our choice of hotel, so I'd say this hotel didn't meet our expectations and they should state this clearly on Trip to avoid future confusion of guests. Other things to improve are the storage space in the rooms (there's barely any room to place suitcases etc) and the soundproofing (we were woken up several days by loud guests at 7am or earlier). On the positive side, the beds were comfortable (average hardness of mattress for westerners standards) and the shower was the best we've had in our whole trip through China: very modern, with good water pressure and no fluctuating temperature. The room thermostat worked really well and the hotel has some nice amenities for guests to use such as tea, massage chairs (a bit worn out but still working) and a vintage game console. The staff helped us with luggage, gave us information and even a small present at the end of our stay, which was a nice touch. The location of the hotel is in a quieter part of town, ideal for sleeping but still close enough to streets with lots of restaurants, cafes etc (try Heytea in west street if you can!). Overall it's been good value for money, although the hotel could do some clean up/refurbishment work and the pool availability should be advertised accurately.

We originally booked four night stay, however we cut our stay short by two nights. The reason are the following the food is not too fresh and lacks variety. The service is not exactly good, we had to ask twice to get towels. Furthermore, when we asked for two extra bottles of water, we were told we need to pay for it. I think the above is totally not acceptable for this type of hotel for this price.

The Riverview is a fantastic hotel to stay in Yangshuo! Located very close to Longtoushan wharf, it's very easy to get to if you come to Yangshuo via the cruise. The staff are very helpful, they gave me all the resources I needed during my stay, and were able to be contacted at any point via WeChat. The room was lovely, a comfortable bed and a fantastic view from the balcony! I'd definitely recommend the Riverview to anyone staying in Yangshuo.
