Thaulle Pure Ayurveda Resort - Yala

This hotel has no children policy but they were so lovely that they accepted our reservation with our two daughters of 10 years. Thanks to Shawn he had arranged a beautiful room for us four with very nice view of the lake. We spent 4 days there invluding our new year’s eve with amazing food and very nice entertainment. Breakfast was amazing and with excellent variety. They have 2 pools one at the hotel and the other one next to the beach with 10 minutes drive. The resort has even the Aruvedya trea**ents for thosr who are interested. Very recommended for the stay at Tissamaharama.

Ideal in all aspects: location, trea**ents, food, staff, excursions and particularly price-value relationship. The family run business located on Lake Yoda has a fitness centre, pool, and daily yoga with a great teacher. It is a 10 minute TukTuk ride to the town of Tissamaharama, which has everything you need. My fifth time at Thaulle and I plan to return.

My friend and I came to Asia for an ayurvedic panchakarma, after much research, we chose Thaulle Resort in Sri Lanka. We were so happy we did! We loved the individualized experience. We decided to do a full 28 day stay with 25 days of panchakarma trea**ents. Firstly, the resort is in a beautiful, serene setting surrounded by mother nature and right on yoda lake. Our room was large, tastefully decorated (with lots of fresh flowers daily) and had all the amenities needed and we had many enjoyable times sitting on the balcony relaxing. The staff are incredible and we felt like we were part of a family. Shawn and his reception staff helped us with anything we needed. Our yoga teacher Don guided every morning at 7 am and by the end of the 28 days I was definitely more flexible and grounded. The food was delicious and the restaurant staff took care of us, found out what we liked and didn't like and educated us on Sri Lankan vegetables. The ayurvedic trea**ents were wonderful (and very helpful) and Dr. Uppal skillfully guided us through the whole process. The resort owners were onsite during our stay and the service they offered only added to the experience. The rest of the staff were also very attentive. In addition to our trea**ents, we did many trips including visits to their beach property, their organic farm (we got to plant a tree too!), a safari and lots of walks around the area. We highly recommend this resort and all it has to offer. Thank you Thaulle family for an amazing experience!

This is a beautiful hotel overlooking the lagoon. We were upgraded to a gorgeous room with a balcony and enjoyed the view, particularly on an evening. Staff are very friendly and helpful, pool great and food very good too. We would highly recommend this hotel

Thaulle is a fantastic hotel! Super clean and with excellent interior design and very kind staff. It had the best food we had in Sri Lanka - homemade and fresh. The coconut ice cream was exceptional ! Definitely would recommend for your stay.

the most beautiful location with a more than amazing and welcoming host and crew! we enjoyed every second in the hotel and the food was incredible! try the curry with rice. :) we also booked the safari via the hotel and it was the most adventurous time we had, we did even see leopards!!! really can recommend the place and its amazing people!

The Thaulle resort is a little paradise in the middle of nature. I don’t know how many hours I spent with just observing different kinds of birds and diverse animals that surround this beautiful little oasis in a beautifuly maintained garden. With the calming view of the lake you can lay back here, enjoy colourful sunsets and let everything have an effect on your soul and body. The staff is always helpful and friendly. They try to make every wish come true and offer professional help if needed – in addition, they are always available for a little chat or a smile. The rooms are tastefully furnished and cozy and the view of the lake is guaranteed from every room. The bathroom is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. I had the privilege to spend one whole month at Thaulle and enjoy an ayurvedic panchakarma cure. From the first day on I knew I was in good hands with the authentic Dr. Upul as well as with the very professional and lovely masseuses and stuff from the Ayurvedic center. We were spoiled with fantastic Ayurvedic cuisine and could on top of that also learn some of the secret recipes from the talented chef himself. Besides all that I got the opportunity to book some little trips close to Tissa, like a drive to the Yala or the Bundala National Park, or a visit to a Temple or Spice Factory and more. With a 15-minute ride on a Tuktuk you reach the Kirinda Beach and get the opportunity to enjoy a relaxing time at the ocean including a private pool in absolute peace. Even if Sri Lanka is going through a very hard and challenging time I couldn’t really feel that as it had no effect on the quality of my stay. The whole stuff handled it all very professionally. I am highly impressed by that! But what made this place very special to me was the family a**osphere I got with every day longer I stayed there. All these very kindhearted people who work at Thaulle (such as the receptionist, waiters, yoga teacher, cook and kitchen stuff, masseuses, housekeeping, gardeners and all the others.) Dear Thaulle you grew on me like a little family and when I had to finally say goodbye I was a bit broken hearted. Overall, I warmly recommend this Hotel for everyone looking for rest, relaxation and a place to be in good hands. Sooner or later I will come back I am sure of that. It was an absolute blast. Top reception (thanks Shawn!) - we are traveling a lot and we usually have high standards, but the Thaule team did so well that we will most probably come back! keep the great work all & thanks again
