We got the warmest welcome when we got there. We were treated like royalty. The view is just stunning and the bed was extremely comfortable with extra pillows provided as well as blankets for the cold nights. We had the most amazing time. Ria and Anita got a special place in our hearts and we already can't wait to see them again!

I spent a week on my own at Lewens-Essens-on-C. If you are looking for B&B accommodation in Yzerfontein, look NO further: -rooms "on" the sea (yes, there's a road between you and the ocean, but it is a quiet road and the sea effectively neutralizes any noise). -THE most stunning view of the ocean (and of Table Mountain) from the verandah -the sunsets are amazing!! -everything you need (and more) in the room (i stayed in the room on the first floor) -fabulously warm, endeering, friendly, hearty & hospital hosts: lovely people!! I hope this review convinces you to book at Lewens-Essens-on-C. You won't regret it!

We booked both units at Lewens Essens for a holiday on the west Coast with old friends. From our arrival until departure we were made very welcome by our hosts Anitha and Ria. Both units were well appointed and had unbeatable sea views. Delicious breakfasts were varied each day. The braai area and patio also overlook the sea and worked well with load shedding.

Thank you to Ria at Lewensessence. I had a beautiful peaceful stay. Thank you for taking care of my heart. The views were absolutely breathtaking, the room was clean and welcoming. Ria went over and above for me. I felt cared for during my stay.

Loved the stunning view of the ocean from our room. Not often you get to enjoy this kind of view. Many times, one books accommodation, and you find yourself stuck in a back room somewhere. Photographs of accommodation can be so misleading. Owners very pleasant and helpful...

Wow it was the best holiday ever. From the walk in with 2 friendly lady's as out host till the last day of our stay it was fantastic. The best host and very friendly. The master bedroom was very nice with the best view. Breakfast was good. This place was good for my soul and I will visit again. Yzerfontein rocks with the most beautiful sunsets

In March 2022 my wife and I stayed at the Lewens-Essens on C B&B. We stayed in the magnificent upstairs suite which overlooked the rocks and the ocean. Our hosts, Ria and Anita welcomed us and we felt like old friends by the time we left. The sunsets over a glass of wine are magnificent. The breakfasts were served to our bedroom to be enjoyed at our leisure, which worked well. It is a place worth returning to!

Perfect stay with stunning views!! Ria and Anita are excellent hostesses and make you feel at home immediately. Room is well equipped and breakfast perfectly adequate. Will definitely stay there again.
