Hotel Casa Santa Lucia

The hotel is very well located but needs a lot of improvements and cleanliness. I was going to take a shower and a big dead roach inside the shower, a lot of hair on the floor in front of the shower, this also happened in one of the other rooms we had. It's like the room was never cleaned after the previous guest left. They don't put any amenities in the bathroom just a small soap, not glasses in the room. Safe deposit in two of the rooms were not working. Wood floors are coming apart in the 3 rooms we had. In the morning going to the restaurant there was a dead roach in front of the elevator Breakfast was not good and very small portions. Staff at the restaurant don't know what customer service is. It's a shame that a hotel like this one in a great location is in that bad shape. We expressed our concern to the staff and also to the manager, who had a very passive attitude like nothing was going on. Hope he takes this seriously and fix what needs to be fixed and supervise more closely the staff to give the guests rooms with the cleanliness and those basic and small details that are found in hotels.

A older hotel across the street Plaza Hidalgo. Within walking distance to restaurants, museums and markets. I didn't have a balcony but enjoyed the rooftop terrace. Beautiful view of a Serro de la Buffa. A hilltop with the cable car 🚡 station and Patrocino church. Very beautiful view in the evening.

I booked a nice and quite room in the back of the hotel. Upon check-in I was offered a "better and larger room on the frontside with great city views and even a balcony" for $400 extra. There would be a concert on the square, but I was assured it would only be from 8 pm until 10 pm. I accepted the offer and found myself in a extremely noisy room, with a balcony door that could not close and not just the "rehearsal" noise from the concert less than 50 meters away from 3 pm on, but with a heavy power generator for the concert's power supply running just under my window. When I asked to undo the "upgrade", I was told the other room was not available anymore. The building might have some historic value, but infrastructure and above all the service are terrible !! Hardly a 2 star hotel. The only positive element is the location in the historic center of Zacatecas, steps away from the main sqare and the catedral.

There was a religious celebration going on. No cars could get past it. I could not get to the hotel and had to book at another hotel. I guess I lost the money I paid.

We asked for a room with a balcony, which looked out toward the Plaza Mayor and the Cathedral. We loved that we could walk to the main areas in the downtown area at a reasonable price! A spacious room with a separate sitting area, and also a mini-fridge. comfortable beds. The insulated windows help to dull the party on the street. We happened to be there on the weekend of graduation parties on the plaza! The hotel staff was very helpful, especially in helping us to park the car in a no-charge lot nearby! This is a clean, lovely hotel, with basic amenities. However, its common areas need a little attention as they appear a bit tired.

La recepción pésima en la atencion. Los muebles de la habitación muy desgastados las camas y almohadas incomodas y el espejo del baño salpicado. No recomendado. Lo unico bueno es su ubicacioón.
