Alykanas Beach Grand Hotel by Zante Plaza

This hotel is nicely situated on the beach, that is the only thing this hotel has going for it as the rooms are rubbish, the air conditioning is not very good and the furniture looks like it was built by an amateur. The staff are very rude and the bar staff are just creeps. the food in the restaurant is covered in fly's and if you zoom in on the photos you can see them on the food, you are also crammed in to get your food and the drinks are also left out in the heat. The place is geared towards the German customers and can only advise to book somewhere else

Just spent another relaxing October half term at probably one of the best located hotels in the world as a certain TV presenter would say!! No kids club,no water/splash park and yet children love it,they make friends and play on the beach between the hotel and the shallow clear sea.In the mornings adults take hordes of children turtle spotting, nearly always quarented near the harbour just a short stroll away. The hotel is run by very friendly staff most of them have been there for years and Yiannis behind the bar manages to keep everybody entertained from the youngest to the eldest. There is always plenty of food to choose from across the self service buffet.The rooms are clean but basic with comfortable beds.If you fancy anything different numerous bars and restaurants are just a few hundred metres away. A great place to have a truly relaxing peaceful holiday. We will be going again next year.

We stayed here for a week. Rooms were good size but definitely need some upgrading, especially the showers. & House keeping wasn’t the best. But the plus sides was that the food was delicious and location was great. Hotel is right on beach and shops and restaurants and bars. Staff were friendly and all spoke English which was helpful. We had a lovely time overall.

Great hotel. Incredible location, right on the beach. The beach is lovely, water extremely clear and clean. Perfect for children as shallow and calm water. Food was great, really enjoyed the fresh grill during lunch and dinner. Great seating over looking the sea. Walked 10 minutes towards the harbour along the beach to see sea turtle (visited between 9am and 10am and saw them every time). Room is good with comfy beds and large balcony, however bathroom requires updating. Stayed during uk half term, busy but always plenty of sunbeds around.

Wonderful small hotel just returned after a fabulous 4 week stay. We booked to return while still there last and have done the same again this year for next year we love it that much. The hotel is right on the beach and is just a 2 minute walk to the shops/ bars and restaurants. These are no longer as cheap as they used to be so going all inclusive, as this hotel is, gives you the best of both worlds. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful and are quick to organise a fix to any issue you may have. The rooms are spacious and kept very clean. The bathroom is small but Adequate, the shower is a wet room, take a shower curtain and clips as we did keeps the water from flooding the floor. The food is true amazing Greek cuisine and is market fresh. Sadly so many adults felt it was necessary to fine on the kids corner: onion rings etc and mountains of chips, they sure missed out! The weekly poolside BBQ was very tasty and well cooked, thanks Alger and Erjon. The chef and his team provide a great buffet at every meal. The restaurant staff worked hard to clear and clean tables so seating was never a problem. Yiannis is the best barman ever, producing the most fab drinks. Entertainment was a few nights a week, Greek dancers, a singing duo and a DJ with karaoke which we felt was enough. Music was always playing at other times. This really is an amazing hotel and would recommend. A big thank you to all staff that make it so.

Well all you need to know is that we came right home and are now booked for May and September 2024. All the staff are wonderful. Our favourite is Elena I think she takes charge of front of House in the Restaurant making sure food is how you want it and kept replenished. No words needed with her staff just a death stare lol. If you can't see what you want just ask. The food was amazing with with a vast selection and always something that suited our taste. The location sells itself with some wonderful walks to the Salt Lakes, Luke's Farm, the Harbour where the Turtles gathered every morning at 10:30, Villages and Monasteries. The Beach is suitable for all ages, safe and warm. Perfect for some snorkelling. I can't comment on the Pool as I never used it as your on the Beach which is beautiful. Drinks were lovely and Yanniss, his sister and Mario will accommodate any requests so remember to tip occasionally. The Room was good with a lovely Balcony and the Bathroom was a shower Wet Room and although dated was adequate. We got exactly the room we asked for and reception staff were always helpful. Room cleaned every day. We were only in our room 10:30pm to 08:00am as the grounds were so relaxing. The staff work tirelessly and if there is anything you want just ask as all my requests were catered for. Remember if you receive good service you can still tip, something that gets missed when all inclusive. I have already discussed future accommodation with the reception staff and their advise has been over and above that expected. You are in one of the most beautiful places I have visited and spent Breakfast, Dinner and Evening Meal sat admiring Sun rises and Sun sets over the med enjoying a Cocktail. We met some wonderful People who we hope to see again, Lisa, John, Delia and Jayne to name a few. I could have had a few moans but really not worth it as I had one of the best Holidays in a magical place at a Hotel that delivered on my expectations. Can't wait to return.

Just returned from Alykanas grand hotel it was a last minute holiday with family Weather was amazing Lots of positives !! The location is perfect beach superb and just go from pool to beach Lovely early morning walks to Allakas and to the little harbour where you can usually see turtles The food was very canteen style but no complaint as the food was plentiful and a good variety Negatives !! The bathrooms were very poor but clean rooms spacious We were unlucky to stay in room 203 which was very dark and a little like a basement One criticism was no entertainment most was cancelled We went out to the local bars The toilets for pool and bar area were inadequate no working locks on the door I think this should be improved upon !! We still had a fantastic holiday good value for the money we paid

Visited this hotel last week as a family lovely hotel brilliant staff great facilities good rooms are big we had a studio room always clean and asked if needed a clean whilst there pool was lovely lots of sunbeds never an issue getting any beach 2 minutes walk food was good you usual all inclusive bbq night was great plenty of tables around at food time entertainment twice whilst there as they sadly cancelled the rest but it was good a huge shout out to the barman yanis who runs the bar he’s absolutely amazing shall be back to visit our children aged 18 and 5 enjoyed there holiday here our son has additional needs and the hotel and staff were fantastic with him also we took our disability pushchair and got around easy with it we requested ground floor due to my sons needs and we were given a ground floor room which we appreciate d
