Macedonia

Another lovely stay at the Macedonia. Spacious room cleaned to a high standard. Lovely big balcony overlooking the road an ideal place to relax and watch the world go by. Never had a problem getting a sun bed which is always a bonus. All staff are helpful and friendly and the Delight bar is lovely.

Lovely hotel, five of us and a baby, cot provided was good. Great location near beach and restaurants. Clean and probably the comfiest bed in a hotel I’ve ever slept in. Plane noise bad at times but to be expected as right on flight path. The Delight bar and restaurant adjacent is absolutely lovely and Alex and his team work tirelessly to provide excellent service from morning to night- welcoming and friendly- if we go back to Kalamaki we would stay here.

Well what I can I say!!!! We would book again tomorrow 😍 We had the most amazing week with the whole of our family for a family wedding, I believe there was 33 of us altogether ranging from 59 to 1 years old, the hotel staff couldn't do more for us. I personally have a family of 6 and we needed 2 rooms, the staff accommodated us before we even arrived. We emailed them weeks before we arrived and they arranged for us to be next to each other. We was more then greatful. When we arrived the staff helped us with bags to put rooms and even offered to push my youngest in her pram. We had the most amazing week, only ever taking 2 sunbeds for 6 people, the children was extremely respectful to everyone else in the pool and the park. We had our room cleaned 5 times while we was there for the week, fresh towels and bedding each time. The staff in the delight bar where great and the owners of the hotel would greet us every morning with a hello. Would recommend this place to anyone. YAMAS 🩵

Just got back from an amazing time at the Macedonia Hotel. We were a large Wedding party of 35 staying at the hotel from 27th August til 10th September 2024. We do we start, the hotel staff were very accommodating to us all. We were all pleased with the 12 hotel hotel rooms we had, clean and spacious and the maid came pretty much every day. The staff at the Delight Bar we lovely and the food there was 10/10. To the other people who have decided to moan about our wedding party. I'm sorry that you thought you had checked into an Adults Only Hotel. I'm sorry you felt the need to have a moan on trip advisor, when you could have kindly said to our faces, when you came over to chat to us around the pool area. Also you would have got plenty of sunbed round the pool on the 6th September as that was our wedding day. Plus we only took up half the side of the pool area and kept ourselves to ourselves and had a laugh and enjoyed own lovely holiday/wedding. I'd just like to add, not once was we pissed and drinking around the pool area and our children running wild. We had children there from the age of 1 years old up to the age of 15 years old. They were all well behaved and very well looked after. Can't speak for the staff at The Macedonia Hotel, but like they say in Zante. Cash is King. Thank you for a wonderful stay. We stayed at the Macedonia from the 27th August until the 3rd September 2024. We have stayed in Zante several times over the years and have had wonderful stays but this experience has been awful. We had two rooms a one bed apartment and a studio. I emailed the hotel before we arrived asking if we could have rooms close together as my mum who was staying in the studio alone has heath and mobility issues and needs my help often, when we arrived we were placed in 2 ground floor rooms in separate blocks. Both rooms were dark and dingy and didn't get much light. The fridge in the apartment did not work properly and the drinks were barely cold I informed reception but they said it was adequate. We paid for air conditioning in both the apartment and studio , it barely cooled down either room and the swing function did not work on both of them. Also the aircon in the apartment was only in one of the rooms and not the children's room so was basically a waste of money at 9 euros a night. We informed reception but they said there was nothing they could do. There was a family of 22 staying at the hotel at the same time as us for a wedding , I have never come across such a rude bunch of entitled people, adults all drinking constantly kids running wild screaming, music blaring from balcony's until 4-5 in the morning and no matter how many times they were asked to be quiet it did not make a difference. The same group also put towels out on the sunbeds even when they were out on day trips ect and if you tried to move a towel to sit down you were screamed at by other family members even though they weren't been used and hadn't been for hours. We did not get a sunbed once during our stay and had to sit on chairs from the bar next to the pool. I again asked reception about this and they said there was nothing they could do it seems because this family were spending more money than us we did not matter and they could do what they wanted. On leaving staff literally stood and watched my mum struggle with her suitcase no offer of help , no one asked if we had a nice stay or said goodbye. Nikos the owner was around every day never once said hello or even cracked a smile. The cleaner only came 3 times during our week, although she was lovely this meant the toilet bin was only emptied 3 times which Is unhygienic especially as it was so hot. Our bed sheets were only changed once during our stay which again is not enough in my opinion. I will say the delight bar which is attached to the hotel but not owned by the hotel was fab the bar men friendly and the food was really delicious and reasonably priced, they also had entertainment a few times through the week and a pool table and ice hockey table which my kids loved, we ate here for breakfast and lunch most days and were never disappointed. I would never come back to this hotel and would not recommend it to anyone we have booked to come back to Zante next year but at a different hotel.

First time here, already booked for 2025. Absolutely loved it. Cleaning staff certainly met expectations. Front desk were very helpful. We'll done to all. Not forgetting Delight Bar and Food, great service. Oh and the Planes were great to watch, never bothered us at all. Cannot wait for next year 🤗🤗
