Hotel Casa Zapallar

this was our second visit. as before, we found the service impeccable, the staff go out of their way to make your stay a good one. rooms are well decorated, there is a small roof top terrace with a tiny pool, just for cooling off. The breakfasts have a good variety of choices, and there is a good espresso machine available all day , plus fruit, tea and bidcuits. Evening meals are simple but well prepared and the chef will try to accomodate any special requests. This is by far the best hotel in the area, and is about a 5 minute walk to the beautiful clean beach.

Feeling at home with elegance. Details are the word that can resume this small hotel: fresh flowers, coffee, biscuits, books, nice music, and elegant common spaces. The manager was absolutely welcoming and paying attention to make us feel unique and at home. Rooms are simple but comfortable and the bed it's atomic. Food is delicious to have a dinner and adapted to your preferences.

We cut our visit to La Serena short…didn’t like our hotel or the vibe of the city in general. Just by chance we went to Zapallar after reading the (sadly) short review of the town in Fodor’s. What a gem this hotel and city were…we wished we’d found the spot earlier in our planning because we could’ve spent a few days here. The hotel is beautiful. Staff spoke beautiful English. We also decided to eat dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. It felt like we had a private chef. We had a spectacular fresh fish dish and the people next to us had what looked like amazing steaks. The place just couldn’t have been more accommodating during our all-too-short stay. We took a stroll down the truly beautiful beach, small harbor, and climbed the small cerro right on the coast and were treated to amazing views of the dramatic coast. Guess I have to stop the review now because I’ve run out of superlatives!

This was a wonderful quiet little gem that blends right into the neighborhood. The beds were wonderfully comfortable, the chef, Javier, a vegetarian, was amazing and the staff Angelita was so kind. I give it 4 stars for a few reasons. 1- the shower often lost hot water. 2- when we checked in, there was no one there but Angelita who did her very best to speak slow Spanish and I tried my best Spanish. Javier’s business partner was away so check in was a little strange and you just had the run of this large guest house yourself with little direction—all in all not a bad thing. However, we didn’t know what time was breakfast and no one was in the hotel until about 9a and we awoke at about 7a wondering when breakfast would start or see coffee. The dining area was also very very cold…but we found a space heater that we plugged in. It was also difficult to make the reservation as the website was down and I had to call 2 times and no emails were returned. I finally tried the website again and got in. They also touted a forest to walk in nearby, but when we got there, the park/forest area was privately owned and the owner was away so we could not get in. I would 100% stay here again with the kind staff, but you need to speak a little Spanish and be ok being alone in a hotel/B&B. The walk to the beach was fine and the ocean was stunning.

Very nice boutique hotel in the center of Zapallar, a short walk to the beach. Cosy, clean , full of charm with exceptional personalized service. Family owned, they do the extra mile to make you feel at home, in our case they re-organized the rooms to fit all our 4 children in one. Highly recommended.

We loved our stay here! The whole hotel was very comfortable and cozy. The staff was lovely and welcoming, helpful with recommendations and information. We enjoyed fantastic breakfasts. One note - there is a semi-permanent COVID tent set up on a nearby street (Olegario Ovalle). It didn't register on Google maps, and it took us a while to figure out how to navigate to the hotel since many of the streets are one way streets.

The rooms are well decorated, quiet , with lovely towels, bathrobe and toiletries. The location is quiet with lots of trees. All the staff were very amiable and well trained, and do anything to make your stay go well. The food at lunch and dinner is very good quality and well prepared by their Spanish chef. If you like creme brulee, this is the place! We ate it at every meal. Therr is a good selection of wines available. Breakfasts are ample with fresh fruit salad, eggs if you want them, bread, jam and some cake. They have a very good espresso machine and the staff are well trained in the preparation of the type you want. During the day, there is tea, coffee and water available along with a bowl of fruit. We couldnt find fault with anything.

Exquisito y hogareño este Hotel. Lo pasamos increíble y la atención nos hacía sentir como en casa. El Anfitrión Tomas un 7 de persona, aparte hizo un asado espectacular para la cena del Sábado. Un 19 este Hotel

fuimos en familia.. pequeño hotel boutique en un tranquilo rincón de Zapallar. Habitaciones muy cómodas, sala de estar acogedora y una preocupada atención del personal. Especial mención a quien nos deleitó cada noche con exquisitos platos... gracias Felipe Muñoz por tu rica comida¡¡¡ Por la pandemia no hay bufet al desayuno, sin embargo nada faltó en nuestra mesa...ah¡¡ jugo de naranja del de verdad¡¡¡ a lo mejor agregar algún dulce como muffins. El resto.. de lujo Si quieres relajarte.. este es el lugar.
