Super smooth check in process. Loved the views ans silence at Overlook Lodge compared to a regular room at Cervo. Staff was extremely attentive and were accessible at all times. I was jumping out of my bed every morning at sunrise to enjoy the views! At a little extra cost you can also enjoy breakfast and spa at Cervo. Hotel has direct connection to the lifts! I would recommend it to everyone and stay here again!

This is a new apartment with full facility kitchen. The apartment is beautifully and tastefully decorated with good room size for our family of 2 adults and 2 kids. We stayed at 2 bedrooms apartment. The apartment has a big 'indoor' and outdoor balcony that we didn't really make full use of it as the weather is getting cold. The best part is the Matterhorn view from the living room!! Though it was cloudy most of the time we were there, we got a few minutes to enjoy the Matterhorn from our couch. We really enjoy staying here that we could not find any fault to this apartment.

Apartment is located uphill about 15min walk from Zermatt train station (nearest convenience store is 5-10mins away). For guests with several luggages arriving in winter, might be better to request for transfer service as slopes can get slippery. Due to the elevated location, the apartment likely has one of the best unblocked views of Matterhorn compared to most of the other hotels located at the valley which packed next to each other. We stayed in the 2-bedroom Vista apartment for 2 nights. Apart from bedroom and kitchen, housekeeping was disappointing as it was not clean/dusty in other areas of the apartment. Loose furniture items looked dated and tired. There were also several faulty items but these were promptly fixed after we notified the team. With the amazing view, the apartment could have been a much more wonderful stay if not for the hiccups. Helpful staff, easy & convenient check in & check out. Transfer from train station can be arranged by hotel staff. Wonderful & beautiful view overlooking Matterhorn. The 3 bedroom apartment is huge, comes w fully equipped kitchen, 3 toilets and a spacious living & sitting area. Love this place!

Als wir das Appartement betraten, waren wir als erstes begeistert vom eleganten Design und der fantastischen Aussicht auf das Matterhorn. Auf den zweiten Blick kam uns dann der Gedanke an Schneewittchen und die sieben Zwerge. Nur hatte es nicht sieben Gäbelein, sieben Löffelchen und sieben Messerlein, sondern jeweils genau vier. Das zweite Schlafzimmerchen mit dem Kajütenbett ist übrigens so winzig, dass dort die Zwerge ihre Zipfelmützen und das Mäntelchen besser schon vor der Türe ausziehen, weil es drinnen zu eng wird. Dort hätten wir lieber eine Dusche gehabt – im geräumigen Bad hat es eine Wanne mit einer die halbe Seite abdeckenden Glasscheibe. Da schaffe ich es doch immer wieder den Raum unter Wasser zu setzen und der Ein- und Ausstieg ist stets eine sportliche Herausforderung. Nun aber genug geschnödet. Die Wohnung ist wirklich eine Wucht, ein grosser gedeckter, wind- und wettergeschützter Sitzplatz mit einem hübschen Designertisch, bei dem man allerdings etwas aufpassen muss, dass das Besteck nicht zwischen den Metallsprossen hindurch fällt, da wären Tischsets praktisch. Eine riesige, sonnige Gartenterrasse mit viel Privatsphäre, zwei Sonnenschirmen und drei Liegen. Geräumige Wohnküche mit lichtdurchflutetem Salon und hübschen Möbeln. Alles farblich perfekt abgestimmt. Die Küche ist übrigens neben der knapp bemessenen Anzahl Besteck und Gläser erstaunlich gut ausgestattet, Nesspresso-Kaffeemaschine, erstklassige Geschirrspülmaschine, Induktionsherd mit 4 Platten, effiziente Ablufthaube, Superbackofen mit Steamer, Mikrowelle, riesiger Kühlschrank, Pfannen und was in manchen Ferienwohnungen ein Mangel ist, hier sogar mit passenden Deckeln, Racletteofen, Fonduerechaud. Ein Paradies für den ambitionierten Hobbykoch. Sogar ein Rezeptbuch mit dem Titel «Richtig gut kochen mit maximal 6 Zutaten». Ich blätterte ein bisschen darin, die ersten paar Seiten hatten allerdings Zutaten, die im Juli in Zermatt kaum erhältlich sind, grüne Spargeln zum Beispiel oder Thüringer Mett, was immer das auch ist, vielleicht findet man sowas beim Tierfuttergestell im Supermarkt. Aber, wie gesagt, die Wohnung ist märchenhaft, Im geräumigen Schlafzimmer ein wirklich bequemes Doppelbett mit angenehmer Bettwäsche, genügend Schränke. Es hat uns ausgesprochen gut gefallen und wenn wir wieder nach Zermatt reisen, buchen wir gerne wieder dieses Appartement, falls die uns nochmals reinlassen, nachdem ich hier im Tripadvisoretwas geschnödet habe und am letzten Abend eines der vier Gläser im Geschirrspüler in Brüche ging, weil ich es zu eng hineinstopfte.
