„Pros: 1. Room and toilet is clean. Bed and pillows are so comfortable. Room is quite big and can fully open 2 medium luggages. Amenities is also provided but require to take from the lobby which I feel is good. There are also Nespresso machine with capsule provided in the room. 2. Located 5 mins walk from Toyama Station. If require to rent car, Toyota Car Renting is located directly opposite of the hotel. Tram, shinkansen, JR train and Dentetsu train are convenient to take. 3. As is nearby the main station, has lots of restaurants/eateries, convenience mart and mall surrounding. However, do note that most of the shops close as early as 8pm nearby. 4. Soundproof was actually good to my surprise despite located along the road. 5. I had opted to walked to Kansui Park which is actually approx. 10 mins depending on your walking speed. The view and scenery overseeing the alps was so good. 6. It was raining during our stay, we were able to borrow umbrella and shoes dryer. Cons: 1. Nearby shop closes too early. Not sure if is because of off peak season. 2. Hardly any cons I could think of. Overall, I recommend this hotel. Great location, service, easily to get food and accessible to transport. Not sure if is off peak season but it was definitely lesser crowd and traffic during my stay at the end of November. It is definitely great time to visit this time if wanted a relaxing trip.”

„Mixed feeling about this … it’s a walk from the jr station in the center of the red light district, cheap accommodation, no big deal … but first room the WiFi signal was bad, staff was helpful and changed to another room, again later on the WiFi was not useable, surely the manager knows about it , was planning to stay extra nights but was not possible, next morning manager rely the apologies and room fee was refunded”

„Attentive service and excellent location. The hotel is located on the 5F floor of a shopping mall, which is 1 min away from Shinkansen, train and tram station. We were glad that it was so close to the station as we arrived at late night. Walkable distance to the famous Starbucks and also museums. Convenient for shopping and food hunting. There is also a small supermarket on the 1st floor.”

„We stayed 2 nights and enjoyed ourselves. The buffet breakfast and dinner were good. There were a large variety of dishes, and they were replenished quickly. The staff was polite and professional in dealing with the guests. As we didn't want housekeeping services on the second day of our stay, we were pleasantly surprised when a box with all the daily amenities was delivered to our room. It was a well run hotel with thoughtful touches to make the guests feel at home.”

„We visited almost all the onyado nono in Japan. This one is good as usual, one difference is little private onsen in the room. The water quality is good. Although it is a bit far from station, it offers free shuttle tram ticket (the tram is at the doorstep). The glass museum nearby was worth visiting.”

„Ten hotel był bardzo niespodziewaną niespodzianką. Wszystko o pokoju czuło się bardziej jak 5-gwiazdkowy hotel, w tym prasa do spodni, oddzielny i bardzo przestronny prysznic z głową deszczową, silnym wifi itp. Z pewnością zbadałby ten hotelowy łańcuch w innych miastach.”

„For anyone travelling along the Tateyama Alpine route, I would highly recommed a stay on the mountain so you can enjoy the scenery without rushing. We love Ryokan (Traditional Japanese Inn) because they always offer delicious course meals (dinner & breakfast) and a public bath. We even enjoyed a free flow of local sake and liquor at dinner! The Midagahara Hotel even offer hiking guides, boots and stargazing guides after dinner. It was a shame that we did not take the hiking trail due to the weather condition (foggy and low visibility), but the stargazing part did not disappoint - we were able to see a sky full of stars by our bare eyes. If we could withstand the cold we could have seen the Milky Way. The hotel shop also offers a wide range of local specialties. We had a nice sleep in our Japanese style room and woke up to a sea of clouds. I would recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to the Tateyama Alpine route.”

„Good food, surprise they provide late night hot soup noodle. Carpark can be confusing as we do not understand Japanese, staff can be professional when giving guidance for the parking”

„Stayed in a standard twin room for 2 nights. The room is slightly too warm as it operates on a central heating system. The rest of the hotel facilities are excellent. The staff are warm and friendly. If you do not want to have your room made up, they reward you with 2 QR codes which you can use at the vending machine behind the front desk. We chose this hotel as it was a street across the Shirakawago express bus stop operated by the Toyama Chitetsu Bus company. It was really convenient for us to use it to explore Toyama as well as take a day trip to Shirakawago.”

„Great service, clean rooms and location not that far from the station. Room seemed a bit bigger than other similar hotels. The first hotel I've stayed at the lower price range that has a TV with Netflix, YouTube and other apps.”
